IMO all of the mods that you are proposing will make your car handle very well especially of you tie that body together with torque boxes and subframe connectors. These cars were not made all that well and being unibody provides a lot of body flex. You can mitigate ride through your choice of...
I agree that an A body would be a much better platform and could definitely be made to handle "as good" or maybe better (think Green Brick from Mopar Action). The B body platform overall is just too big in terms of wheel base as well as weight in general. Sure you can add more HP but that isn't...
I am not a fan of the M3 per se but I think it would take a lot to make a RR out handle it. I am sure that with enough money, parts and work you could get it close but they are so different in terms of design, CG, wheel base, etc.
I've done a few of them now but when I originally did the Challenger that was my first and I didn't know what I didn't know. Now I can get one pretty tight and looking good especially since I just bought a steamer.
I also made some improvements to my 70 Challenger;
Got the headliner tightened up some, still have a couple issues but it is what it is at this point.
Cleaned up the under hood wiring which I have been meaning to do for a long time.
I had to order some new parts such as A pillar covers...
As promised I set those seats out in the sun and it helped a lot, so much so that I will be using them as they are.
On another note, the 572 Hemi Roadrunner is on its way to Australia, it was picked up yesterday and in on its way to long beach CA.
"what cam" is dependent on a lot of things, yes you can just buy something or take someone else's advice but it is best if you wait until you figure out what the engine is going to be, meaning will it be a larger displacement. Once you figure out that part and determine how you are going to use...
What help are you looking for? You need to disassemble the block making sure to keep everything organized. You need to measure the bores to determine if they need to be bored or you can just hone them, more than likely you will need to bore it which will require new pistons.
Locate a local...
Nice looking car, I would say $20-23K but thats from just looking at pics. Since you have some sentimental value with it, Id say offer $22.5 but be prepared to pay the $25
Like so many things Mopar you would probably have to extrapolate a number meaning determine what is the percentage of Roadrunners/GTXs were made with sunroofs and then apply that percentage to the GTX population. Not a firm number but probably as close as you are going to get unless someone...
So I was able to recover the bottom of the back seat, in this case though I just reused the foam. I am not super happy with the creases and such but we are due to get some hot weather this coming week and I am going to put both parts out into the sun for awhile and see if that helps. If not I...
It’s just metal, no magic to it and since it’s not a rare or highly valuable car I’d cut out the rust and make new patch panels to replace them. If you do it right (as in take your time, make good cuts, cut far enough back to be into good metal, and make accurate patch panels) you can make the...
Since my last posts I went through some issues trying to recover the rear seat, the short of it is that I didn't really know what I was doing and essentially was defeated for a few days. Then after thinking it through while working on the headliner in my Challenger I came up with a new game plan...
