I'm no expert but ran Caltrac's for several years my 69 Charger bracket car. You need adjustable shocks on front and rear. My car was setup on the softest settings after several test passes. Can't speak for a street car but my car only ran in the low 7's in the eight and would print 60 ft times.
I have a pair of Holley carbs from a '65 Race Hemi
Been sitting since the '70's but in a dry shop.

I've installed a few S&W kits in A & B body cars.Fit is good.
If you order the Pro Street rear bars to fit high for rear seat room,you get the regular rear bars in the kit as well.
Gives you some extra tubing to work with.
