I had sent out my brand new Carter M6903 to these guys . He said it was assembled wrong [diaphragm stretched] at the factory and way too strong a spring. He also sells rebuild kits for this too. Way too strong a spring can't be good for the pushrod wear.
Just googled this ,,87 Charger GLHS $6990 ,,from a fancy dealer so should be cheaper privately. 500 Omni Glhs and 1000 Charger Glhs were made. All went through Shelby's plant in Whittier CA to be modified, documented and numbered..

If your interested look around ,they're out there and for not much money in fair shape. Many Mopar turbo cars havent been driven because of a blown head gasket,,not a big deal as you know.
Unless it was Shelby's personal car no way on the price. Even then way too high but what the hell do I know?? Shelby did own 2 Omni GLHS's. One was standard production but the other was equipped with amongst other things a one off Hans Herman 4 valve head. Don't know where it is now.
These are odd cars no doubt and I love em for it. One of my favorites was a 89 Dodge Caravan turbo I owned. Got a giant Volvo intercooler at the junkyard and a bigger Garret turbo and injectors ,upped the boost and wasted guys at the stoplights on my way to work.
There are ways around the head...
