Hi Guys, I had a look again today and I tried to shim the alternator, seems no issue for that I can recover the gap but the tensioner bracket (I don 't know how to call it) is limiting me, I have to move it forward by approximately 1/2". I have ordered a BBM bracket (black ones) in order to...
So you mean it could be possible I have the wrong bracket on my engine ? Can I fix it with some BBM bracket maybe ?
This weekend I will try to shim the bracket in order to get the proper alignement and I will take pictures with the new alternator mounted on it.
Ah no its just to make it quick for the picture I have removed it, but on the new alternator (not on the picture) there is one, for this no issue
but once I put the new alternator (tuff stuff chrome one) the belt is on the position like the engine side groove and you can clearly see the...
Yep for sure; here below the current setup with the belt on the external groove respect to the engine; and I also post pictures when belt is on the internal groove respect to the engine (with the new alternator it would be like that)
I also put a picture of the bracket I currently have for the...
Hi guys
This afternoon I have decided to replace my alternator of my Plymouth SSP 72, big block B engine 400 ci.
The fact is that; replacing my stock alternator by a 1 wire one from tuff stuff (100 Amp) I have taken a 1 V groove VS 2 V groove on my stock one. Consequence is I have noticed now...
Indeed if I jump it it the engine run on again. I brought it to a local garage and they told me also alterntor should be change. But if I put 1 wire one is it ok for me or do I have to consider some conversion kit I don't know ?
Hi Guys !
My alternator is now a bit tired I think because when I pull on all the electrical devices the engine shuts off...
I'm looking into Tuff Stuff alternators 100 amp but I'm a bit a newbee here and I'm seeing choices like One Wire capable or not, or 1 V groove VS 2 V groove and I'm...
Hi guys
I have ordered last month a Reilly Motorsport rear suspension street lynx for my 72 Plymouth Satellite sebring but in the meantime my situation have changed due to unexpected event and I would like to sell it before shipment in Italy. You can have a look here to see what it is:

Hi everyone
I finally solved the issue of the oil pan by putting all M8 screws and that works perfectly ! To do things properly I also changed the gasket with Moroso one and the oil pan from Summit racing (Aluminium one). Fact is that the oil pan have extra capacity of 2 quarts. Small question...
thanks again for help, Just for my information, the helicoil I have to order must be 5/16 in correct ?
1 question more, I'm in Europe, I see 5/16 is Ø7.938mm, what if I take an helicoil Ø8mm (easier to find in my location) ?
Thank you guys, so you don't think trying with thread chaser worth it ? I will see for helicoil anyway and try both, if thread chaser isn't good
but do you think I have to do it on all 3 ? because as I said 2 seems OK by hand.
Hi guys
yesterday I wanted to change my oil pan gasket on my 727 torqueflite. I have disassembled the oil pan and replaced the gasket (cork gasket not rubber). In order to be a bit more safe; I added a bit of red silicon (high temp one) and when I wanted to assemble again 1 of the 14 bolts was...
Thanks, indeed the Vision 393 are not so beautiful, the fact is Summit in 14 has not so much choice. I have found the Cragar 61 available in 14x8 but Summit currently doesn't sell it
Hi fellows !
I have a small issue with the wheels of my 72' SSP. I'm leaving in Italy and here legislation is very excessive with wheels. I had the documents released with the 14" wheels only and stock wheels diameter 215/70/14, means I cannot change wheels diameter otherwise the Police can...
