Sorry for not replying for so long but I have been out of town. Talked with an old mechanic friend and he suggested checking the end play on the crank. He said he has seen it on a couple of other 4 speed cars over the years. Crank moves forward too much and something starts hitting, usually...
Just installed a new centerforce dual friction clutch on my 68 Coronet and I am getting a rattling sound when I push in the clutch pedal.
Clutch engages and disengages with no issues and I hear no noises when the clutch pedal is not being pushed.

After quite a long wait I finally got my 68 R/T back from the body shop!
After having her in some local car shows and cruises I had to replace the radiator so unfortunately she is down again until the radiator is complete.
But I have some new photos to share!
Good news it was not the pump or the sending unit it was the cheap Fram oil filter I was using. The filter had collapsed and/or torn and that's what was causing the oil pressure to very soo much. I am just glad I caught it before the oil flow was totally blocked off and damaged the motor.

Is it possible to change the oil pump on a 440 with the engine in the car?
I would be seriously bummed if I need to pull it.
Thx
Here are some of the photos I have now.
These were taken by the previous owner.
I will get more later this week as I have changed some things on the car.
Hello to all.
I have a 68 Coronet RT that I picked up last summer.
It is a 440 4 speed car with the dana 60.
I just started putting the car back together after spending the winter fixing up issues from the previous owner but she will be ready to roll very soon!
I am very much looking...
