Forgot to mention before installing the headlight harness, the hideaway doors worked as normal. Reason I installed the harness is to get the headlight directly powered from the alternator.
Hideaway motor was rebuilt recently and turns manually. Everything feels smooth when...
I have been tackling various hideaway headlights issues I have had on my 72 and here is the list of work previously done.
-Replaced headlight switch and dimmer switch as both were melted.
-Installed @Crackedback headlight harness
-Replaced under dash headlight relay

It came with AC originally, that's why I mentioned in my OP the previous owner had removed everything.
I thought the center 2 vents were part of the Strato vent option.
Hey purchased a headlight relay harness for my 72 Dodge Charger with hideaway headlights. After installing the harness the hideaway doors will only open and stay open. Headlights also stay on no matter what position headlight switch is in.
Could the OEM headlight or hideaway door relay be bad...
Ah gotcha, thanks for the info!
Is there a vintage air system that I can to replace mine? Previous owner removed pretty much anything. Figure I need compressor/condenser maybe something else?
Yeah I should of mentioned that. The temp leveler is actually in the middle. I can move it to the right, but it stops where it is at moving to the left.
Could there be some linkage preventing this?
Hey believe my 72 Charger came with the fresh air ventilation that passes through the vent in the top of the hood and then into the cabin.
Whenever I turn mine to vent and turn the fan on all I get is very hot air, which I believe is coming right off of the engine. Am I missing a part that...
Hey thanks for the reply.
I understand that it increases with throttle. It just seemed like I have the kickdown linkage activating too soon. But I guess only issue would be not able to get full throttle?
I spoke with them previously. Bouchillon doesn't supply the throttle cable, so looking for what would be compatible with my engine.
Kickdown question - "Is it possible to have too much pressure?" was just a general 727 question.
Hey have BPE kickdown linkage installed on my 72 with 318/727.
I believe I was running it with the kickdown being engaged too early. Is it possible to have too much pressure?
I readjusted it correctly, but noticed my throttle cable binds and needs replaced. Any specific one I should get? I've...
Installing an electric choke on my 72 Charger with 318.
I've read about using a wire off the alternator, one side of the ballast or using the acc on the fuse block.
What's the best option? What connector would I use with either the alternator wire or ballast wire?
Appyany advice!
Hey thanks for the reply, not looking for anyone to "take a morning". Was just curious what the next step would be?
Ive read some articles and most just list everything they have done. So was just trying to figure out what my next step would be. Sounds like I should focus on gears next and...
