Appreciate all the replies. Bought a 69 Road Runner a couple years ago from a guy I know. He had the engine and trans from someone else. Said his friend told him it was a good combo. Not recently rebuilt but ran good. When I got the car done and fired I had a shake. I suppose that's due to the...
Ok, so it looks like the crank is cast so not the original for the 1966 block. Does the cast crank engine use a different harmonoc balancer, flex plate and torque converter than a forged crank?
Thanks,
I have a 383 date coded 3.30.66. That said it "should " have a forged crank. Unfortunately I found the head were swapped to the newer 8462846 heads. I tore the motor motor apart and I'm not sure how to distinguish the type of crankshaft. I'm concerned someone switched it out.
Thanks!!
I've been searching a bunch of forums and have even called Edelbrock Tech Support. My question is will the stock big block HP exhaust manifolds work with the Edelbrock 75 cc angle plug heads? I am concerned with plug and plug wire boot fitment. Is anyone out there running this combination...

I bought a 1969 Roadrunner to fix up and drive. I have no fender tag or build sheet so I'm just making how I'd like it. The engine is a 383 but I'm not sure what some of the stampings next to the distributor means. First are B383 which I suspect means it's a 1966 383. Below are a 5 and a 2 I...
Does using the Holley 20-7 allow for a longer pull on the transmission cable? I have a Sniper on a 318 and an trying to get the right pull on my Lokar cable.
How far down the arm did you drill the hole? Mine doesn't seem to pull enough. I have a Sniper with the Lokar throttle cable, trans cable and Lokar carb bracket.
These are more of a large flat retainer that looks about the size of a 50 cent piece. I found an old post of someone selling some and this is the photo. Trying to be careful so i don't break my originals.
