I am looking for a 1965 Belvedere steering column with the 3 speed standard column shifter. Grandson is trying to restore his Belvedere back to factory which was a 3 speed on the column. Also need the linkage from the column to the tranny. Any help would be appreciated.
This was originally...
First, I need to mention that I am posting this question for a friend that is computer illiterate. And I am hemi illiterate so its not a good combination. Rich has an aluminum 426 hemi block (part #426-B4-MWB) with Indy cylinder heads. The heads were built back in 2012 and he is just now getting...
That would be great. My grandson is trying to restore a 65 belvedere and when he checked out the frame elements he thought everything was fine. When I finally got a look at things I saw that the driver's side was good, but the passenger side was total trash. He was devastated by it. This could...
Just a thought. There is a difference between banning the use of a product and banning the manufacture of the product. I am not sure if your state is banning the use or manufacture, or both. But in my state, which I think is following the federal requirements, you can still use any of the...
I have the 3 inch on a 65 B body. I had to install front to back and did it single handed. It fit like a glove. Doing it from the rear was impossible. But keep everything loose until its all aligned. I also suggest you don't use their clamps. Use the type that summit sells that don't deform the...
I want to change my cooling system from having just a coolant overflow tank (water bottle) to a full coolant recovery system. Can someone point me in the right direction for the proper radiator cap and container options. I have a 65 B Body with a 440 and a 22 inch aluminum radiator.
OK thanks. I just looked up a 74 RoadRunner with a 440 and it calls for 5 including filter. So, assuming 440 source has their information correct, in that they use the 971 pan on 74 RoadRunner, then I am all set. And yes, I plan on calibrating the dipstick once I fill and run the engine.
1965 B Body. I am rebuilding my 440 BB. installing new bearings, rings etc. I am also installing a new 971 oil pan. I use the shorty oil filter (WIX 51085). Stupid question, but how much oil should I fill it with. From what I read in this forum, the 971 has a 5 quart sump. But to be honest...
I have a 65 Belvedere with a 440 bored 30 over. 22 inch aluminum radiator with 2 cores (1 inch each). I use a 6 bladed fan but no shroud. When the car is running under any speed the temp gauge is at the low normal range. At idle for a few minutes it starts to climb. In 10 minutes it is at the...
