Update on progress.
Horrible looking tape job after stripping paint off parts of the grill that are supposed to be exposed on a 500. Shot the inside of turn signals with reflective silver. Then shot the front with trim black, and the end result. Not a big job or a big deal but it now looks like...

Thanks for speaking up and especially for the great photos. I understand much clearer now what they really look like and how the hoses attach. Looks like two small holes get drilled to the bottom of the dash and the two bolts secure them.

This is a developing project but the current thought is that everything in the AC system will be aftermarket except the four vents inside. Yes, under the hood would look nothing like stock and I’m okay with that. Inside would look very 1966 except that the switch’s wouldn’t be accurate.

Yes, the fronts rub only on the chrome trim but I can pull the crank away from it (for the most part) as I crank it over the trim. Less than ideal.
