What carb are you playing with?
is there a metal tag, 6-8" long in the seat bottom springs? It has info on it that I have not been able to totally decipher, but it seems to me that there is a date code stamped in it. All the digits/letters are stamped on the tag.
I have an original 68 4 door Satellite and the center vent is plastic. I haven't checked our other 68's. But I'm a believer that not all models from different plants were exactly the same in every aspect.
Both of the horn rings in my post are Dark Green. Yes I know that they look black but they are Dark Green. I have a dodge insert button around here somewhere, I believe that I have 2 of them, looks like about 11 5/8" in diameter......$135 shipped

Have you checked the fuel sending unit ground strap where the sending unit connects to a short rubber fuel line that connects to the steel fuel line that runs along the chassis? For the temp gauge, the issue is usually the temperature sending unit or the wiring coming off of it.
I'm just up the street from you in Wichita and do my key business with a local local, 'ol skool, geezer locksmith who is also a mopar guy.
Do you have a door panel removed where you can pull a lock cylinder out?
Is there anyone, individual or commercial, that rebuilds 68-70 B Body Rally Gauges? The reason that I ask is because I have quite a few used parts for them, switches & gauges etc.
