    Status - Another update

Here’s the right quarter panel, Dutchman panel, cross member and trunk floor fitted for alignment and gap checks. Patience is a virtue! It’s sad that it’ll all come apart tomorrow for final prep then welding / spot welding.

Who all have used AMD panels? Not happy

It’s the difference in the dimension of the step on the new quarter panel in relation to the new Dutchman panel step. The original quarter panel on the other side has the same step dimension as the new Dutchman panel. It’s a die issue.

Who all have used AMD panels? Not happy

    Rear cross member alignment.

Thanks for the reply. The lack of those dimples / joggles are exactly what I was looking for. Without those the ovals don’t line up completely. I thought I may have been shipped the wrong crossmember. This forum is great!

    Rear cross member alignment.

Other that lining up the oval holes in the frame rails ends with the new rear crossmember is there any other tips anyone can offer? I will of course measure between the frame rails and ensure they are plumb horizontally and vertically.

First time post. Here’s my latest progress. On the jig and starting to reassemble. will start fitting rear cross member today. I’ll work on rear frame rail alignment prior to fitting rear cross member. I’ll post a question on crossmember alingment and measurements before I keep going.

    Sheetmetal

What’s the deal with the various Sheetmetal vendors out there? I’ve read that AMD is the best but they can’t supply what I need right now. It appears Classic sells AMD and OER. There’s Stephen’s and perhaps more. I’m just starting the restoration and need some advice. Thanks,
