Can someone help me decode the 68 A body fender tag? I’m considering buying it.. I’ve been able to identify some but not all codes.. thanks in advance!
No, you’re right on track. Only thing I did different was I used a self etching primer before the matte finish paint. Also I found 1/4” green paint tape to tape off stripes. I cut them all same length and rounded edges with scissors. Good luck!
Relays will fix your issue I suspect. I used two, one for low beam one for high. I used a member on here from Palm Springs who built my harness. He did a wonderful job,I lost all my contact info with swimming with my phone!, maybe he will see this.. I mounted the relays in a box in fender behind...
Speaking of incoming insults… here they come I’m sure…. But! I am sold on the progression ignition distributor. A main reason is exactly what’s been talked about in this thread. Lots of variations in different engines. To have a standard. I haven’t decided if I’m going to leave it in, or use it...
I have a progression distributor in my SBC. It has been amazing for 2 years. I just ordered one for my built 440 in my Coronet. I’m tired of taking apart to change curve. If nothing else, dial it in with progression, then mimic it with a traditional style distributor.
If you do go with a mini starter . Do yourself a favor. I spend 400 on one at summit racing. Go to the parts store and order a starter for a 90 Dakota. It is a mini that will bolt right up. And it’s under 100 bucks !
Did you take measurement from end to end on old set up before removing tie rod ends? I’m trying to remember, I had an issue with using the old tie rod connectors. Ended up getting new ones. I think they bottomed out before achieving proper length!
