Oh I'm not after a high hp build lol. Just had the 500 number stuck in my head as a feasible goal. Been messing with too many ford's, Ive had 3 460's that made 500 hp on cast heads.
What do you think about the thumpr cam? From comp. I think it's .513/.498. For some reason the exhaust lift is...
Could always just cut the valves to be bigger!
That's what I did. They're at the shop rn, I'm gonna go with the stock intake valve but going to a 1.90 exhaust valve. Should be possible with a 2.19 intake, right?
Cant say that no more haha. I pulled the trigger and got me a fancy cellphone. Guess I'm a high class citizen now.
The daytona is parked out back right now shoved in the corner until i can get some other projects done. In the mean time here is a 1960 crew cab I might purchase. A freind of mine...
Technically I paid 500 for the valve covers but I got heads brackets timing cover oil pan dual point distributor and some other stuff for free with it lol. So when you break it down I paid like $40 for the valve covers.
They're just standard peices off of a random 440.
I would have too if I hadn't already financed a brand new truck lol. I had a 08 F250, traded in for a '24 F350... that's a different story
It's not particularly in my budget. I want to buy a good 5 or 6 speed, and focus alot on the suspension. Coilover conversion, disc brake conversion.
What...
Had no motor, I'm not sure what was original. I'll have to grab the vin later. I'm going to buy a cellphone this weekend and then grab the photos. First time using one in a year and a half. Lol!
What's the most lift I can get out of my 906 heads? Will changing springs help any and what else can I do?
Wanting to run a piston with a good valve relief. Trying to keep it between 10 and 10.5:1. I brought the heads to work, I'm going to cc all the chambers later once it's cleaned up.
I've...
That's pretty cool! Either way it replicates a Daytona or superbird packaged car. Same idea. A b body "coke bottle" styled car with a nose cone and a wing to help increase the aerodynamics of an otherwise brick of a car, in an attempt to create a very fast Nascar, which was so successful it was...
I've got 6500 in the car as it sits right now so I couldn't do that. Plus me and you both know I got a deal.
I'm not dropping the hobby or the build. Just not going to post any progress on here if any of my attempts at posting such are going to be overshadowed by some retired asshole that...
Wasn't thumping your chest at all, merely annoyed by the fact you antagonize me over something so trivial and stupid. Either way your the one who looks dumb arguing with strangers over common sense. But of course your too "logical" for that. Or whatever terms you may come up with.
One could...
Jesus christ on a motorbike, you knew what I was talking about the instant I said it. Just shut up and stop being so unbearable, nobody cares! Lol. I'd suggest minding your own business.
"Oh my God, he called it a 1970 charger replica, not a one of 73 1970 dodge charger se 340 automatic with a...
Just the way I see it! it's still dark out right now and I'm leaving for work. Hopefully I will be able to grab some pictures, I should get off early today. Got Wednesday night church service lol!
It's a 6 pack short block so I'd say it's 10.1:1 which is the factory rating for 68. 68 used 906 heads as I've been reading. I'm going to deck the block a few thousands for resurface and maybe take .010 off the head maybe .020, to raise it to 10.5:1 and I'll be running ethanol free 93, my local...
It's a 70 charger. I was going to use TTI's kit including their headers.
Back pressure is a myth. But exhaust velocity isn't. And for such a large motor producing that much low end torque and hp I don't see how 3" is too big. Especially with an x pipe to increase the velocity.
If you go to...
Do you think 500 hp would be easy to hit with the 906 heads, 6 pack, headers, cam and pistons? Ik the 6 pack made 375 stock. Long tube headers and true duel exhaust will be a big step up. I'm going 3" dual x pipe with cherry bomb salute mufflers. This was the setup my uncle had on his 440...
You realize what a replica is, right? It replicates the original. There was no 70 daytona but there was a 69 daytona. It took 3 brain cells to think of that. Not everything has to be down to the Tee of the year. It's a daytona replica. Doesn't matter what year. It's got a big nose cone, a big...
