Any info or link to the expansion valve needed to switch the compressor on/off?
I have the stock type and think this is 1 of the theories of low side pressure problem.
After a few hours of it sitting with the engine off, I checked the low and high side pressures again.
Both were equal. Does...
You got me thinking on that. There is a thimble sized screen type filter on the outlet of the low side of the compressor. This filter fits inside the hose fitting that mounts to the back of the compressor.
It’s also the location of the spring and EPR valve that I removed.
I wonder if that’s...
Hey all,
Im working on getting our 72 satellite Sebring plus to have AC again.
Originally it had it until the PO removed everything. I bought a donor car for the brackets, hoses, evaporator, condenser and compressor.
Flushed everything out, got new green seals, dryer and bulb type expansion...
Does anybody know if a 360 Magnum engine needs a valley pan?
Mine was dressed like an LA style motor with carb and ignition system.
When I put the Edelbrock air gap performer intake manifold on in 2007, I looked in catalogs and internet and didn’t find one. It was still a new crate engine...
I’ve had repeat dreams of the brakes going out or not being able to stop my current 72 Satellite before crashing it.
Though I always wake up before impact.
I don't know how hot the coil should be but, I would think the cooler the better for the ignition coil. The aftermarket coil I had in actually boiled the oil inside the coil causing it to leak. That's how I knew it was getting too hot.
Mounting a new one on the firewall fixed that problem you...
I had a hard time finding 72 rotors for my Satellite so I ended up getting the bigger diameter spindles to accommodate 73 and up rotors.
Those look good.
Just make sure you double check the measurement.
Good luck.
Had the same problem. Drove me nuts.
Turns out it was the ignition coil getting too hot.
I moved it from the intake mounting spot and put it on the firewall away from heat.
Never happened again.
Good luck!
1972 Plymouth satellite Sebring Plus.
Motor: 360 Magnum with high energy whiplash cam, Holley electric fuel pump, Edelbrock air gap, Edelbrock 650 carb, TTI headers. Flowmaster Super 44 mufflers. 2 1/2 pipes. K&N air filter, WIX oil filter, Royal purple synthetic oil. Mopar performance...
Update:
Funny you mention a choke RON73. I had just put the cable mounts on. It's a manual cable operated from inside the car.
I think it might be electrical because I moved the coil off the intake manifold and mounted it on the firewall. I was "getting on it" while getting on the freeway and...
Got a good one here and I need help.
My 1972 Satellite has a low mileage 360 magnum engine.
Edelbrock 600 carb, air gap intake, TTI headers, electronic ignition with super stock coil. The heads are stock other than bigger springs to handle the rumpity cam shaft. The 904 auto tranny has the...
I'm running a 360 magnum engine to a 904 tranny.
Couldn't use the kickdown lever or throttle cable mount.
I have a BPE bracket that mounts to the carb, that holds the TV cable going to the tranny. It works flawlessly.
Good luck!
Oh.. Here's the link to get all the parts...
Yep. Took mine off.
There are studs that need to be ground down and holes that will need to be filled at the ends of the fenders and some at the roof. (if you have that trim too.)
It sure makes it clean looking without the trim.
