Yes, I've been noticing those as well. Going to try and connect bracket to intake without linkage connected, if brackets block then I may need a spacer...or just get a new linkage bracket. Theres an old orange paint linkage bracket hanging around the car, I can send a photo of that as well
This is flipped. In the photo the bracket is just resting against the intake. If I try and bring the bracket down to the intake thread location, I can get it about half an inch from laying flat on the intake. If the tabs block it from being bolted correctly then they should be bent.

Funny I didn't think of that...went and flipped it but the same gap exists between bracket and intake. Intake is Weiand - bracket has fit on same intake before. Car was handed over to mechanic who started but didn't leave us in the best spot, took carb/intake off to clean but didn't reconnect...
