    4speed in 65 coronet

Ok, so apparently the transmission mounts are different on an 80s o/d 4 speed and 66-69 bbody 4 speed? Just took out the o/d that I put in a couple months ago to put a "regular" 4sp in, to find out the mount is 3 inches off from working with the factory crossmember. Never had a problem with...

I'm not using green bearings. Do I need the button spacer to adjust end play? I did change from an open diff to a sure grip. I actually just thought of this...

    Axle seal issues

Yeah I doubt the tubes are bent. I just think I need to set the end play. What exactly is the tolerance?

    Axle seal issues

I thought the same thing, I put them in my 68 barracuda and never had any issues - - - Updated - - - What I don't understand is, the passenger side was never leaking at all before all of this. The driver side brakes were grabbing so I knew it was either a wheel cyl or grease seal. As suspected...

    Axle seal issues

I'm going to go with the axle end play as well, took it apart and seals look fine. I'm going to borrow a dial indicator and set up the rear right, starting all over. I'm using Napa 15460 seals. So should I replace the seals again as well?

    Axle seal issues

Yes, the inner seal. They are installed correctly. I'm going to go tear it apart right now and measure the ID of the seal to the axle and see what's up. Thanks for all the input.

    Axle seal issues

Pretty sure they have 1 lip. NAPA brand I'm almost tempted to use Green style bearings and seals.

1965 dodge coronet 500 floor board what should I do

Still not bad, for a convert. I would cut out bad and weld in my own pieces, seam seal around the patches, little paint.

    Axle seal issues

I installed new axle seals in my 8-3/4 in my coronet last week... Now they are leaking again? Axles aren't pitted or scarred any. What did I do wrong?

    Changing center chunk

Ok, so it's looking like 3:23's lol - - - Updated - - - Not at the moment, sorry. I like to keep them around so I can always flip flop around. I'll keep my eyes open for another set

    Changing center chunk

Ok, I have a 65 coronet with a 340 and an overdrive 4 speed. I'm replacing my axle seals, and figured while I had the axles out I would change the center chunk. Never knowing what gears I had, I found out they are 2:56 gears. I love the gas mileage and performance is impressive considering, but...
