I’m working on my ‘67 Belvedere Convertible.
I did find the solution; bought some stubby ratcheting wrenches. They make the job so much less frustrating. If you need to replace a brake light switch on one of these cars, do yourself a favor and pick up a set BEFORE you start. Your knuckles...
I will buy some ratcheting combo wrenches and give those a try. I feel better having walked away and mowing the grass . The switch is definitely bad; the plunger is pushing the guts out the back of the switch housing.
I’m going through this (brake light switch) right now and am so frustrated, I’m ready to throw S**t and break things. This is the biggest PITA I have dealt with on this car; all for a $2 part. I have tried everything, except dropping the column. I have a column shifter, so I guess that damn...
I am in need of both rear plastic panels for a 1967 Plymouth Belvedere convertible; I figure any B Body from 1966 to 1970 will do. The panels need to be in good driver quality condition (no cracks or broken pieces). The color doesn't matter, but I would like to have the interior lights...
Do you still have the rear interior panels for the convertible? Also, I need the rear window regulator with the chrome. What state are you located in since the panels will need to be picked up? Thanks.
Ditto regarding Spectra. Out of the box, mine would not register more than half a tank when full. I purchased because they were supposed to be "the best"; sorely disappointed.
Looking great! Finished the body and paint on my 67 convertible last summer. Like you, did it all myself. Just a heads up...you are nearing the most time-consuming, patience-testing part of the project: THE PAINT PREP. The hours of sanding, spraying, sanding, more sanding, spraying...
Well, once again, I guess I am going to experiment to figure this out on my own; twenty-six views and not one insight. Like a good member, I will post my experience to help others.
After 90-plus views and no insight, I decided to do some experimenting with some 92-93 Dakota manifolds and check for clearance. I quickly realized that the passenger side manifold will work without issues, so I assume the same holds true for the shorty headers. As expected, the driver's side...
I have a Denso alternator from an 1989 Chrysler Fifth Avenue with a 318 and want to install it on my '67 Bel with a 360. Will my alternator brackets work or will I need to get some brackets for a Fifth Avenue? The Denso alternator, though smaller, appears thicker and I am not sure if the...
Thanks. The '66 Charger is for my daughter when she turns 17 in a couple of years. Next spring, she and I are going to rebuild the engine (361), the suspension, and begin the bodywork. The only thing that needs to be done to the interior is having the instrument cluster rebuilt and the dash pad...
Here is my southern Bel; she is still a work in progress. I have done all of the work in my garage including bodywork, paint, and engine rebuild. She gets driven everyday, rain or shine. Since these pics were taken a few weeks ago, I have added rocker chrome.
