I have never ran across any nor owned any 4 speed dana cars that didnt. I had a 71 6 pack charger that had them front and rear. The 68 hemi gtx i have did not come with front torque boxes but has rears. The convertible obviously has them front and rear. I guess ive never fooled with any a12 cars...
Original 4 speed dana car with no torque boxes??? Being 4 speed should have had front and rear torque boxes. If it was an auto car it could have possibly left without them but not a 4 speed car.
If you have an elec ign mopar distributor you can pull the module out of a gm hei, run the the wires to the p and n side of the module and ground it and you have yourself an hei

Stroker is the only way to go for a small block. I built a 416 out of a 340 with w2 heads and was very impressed with the way it ran. I see no issue using a 318 block. Id probably use a 318 magnum block so you can run a roller cam.
