Be careful which epoxy you use, SPI epoxy is not compatible with the acid film left on the surface, they are very adamant about not using their product over rust converters.
Edit- you can use Ospho and clean off the acid film by re-wetting it before applying the epoxy. I just did my dash that...
Trying to decide on paint for hood blackout stripes. I am leaning toward SPI black epoxy, since I can also use it for the dash, inside of doors, and suspension parts.
I would want to clear over it on the hood stripes to hide the edges. Has anybody done this? I am wondering if it will still...
Thanks for the reply. I asked because my plan was to seal up the entire shell with SPI epoxy. I asked SPI if there were any compatability issues with their epoxy over Corroseal- the answer I got back was "unfortunately I can not recommend my epoxy over this product" - Andy
