Best oil for a roller cam engine

I've been running Rotella 15-40 in my junk for a LOT of years but recently read that diesel oil isn't formulated for high rpm use but I've always ran my stuff high rpm. Btw, my newest vehicle is a 97 and the oldest daily driver is a 95. Thing is I couldn't find what or how high was too high. I'm...

There are some in the Racing Forum that use TI fasteners for lots of stuff.....but don't know about lug nuts. Might post over there and see what you get.

    Function test for fan clutch

Just make sure the engine is off when you stick your fingers down there.... you probably know that but there just might be someone here who doesn't. Over the years I've run into a few dummies that acted like they knew a lot about cars when they didn't know a dad gum thing about them!

Found another 67 RT that I'm looking to purchase, wanting feedback

Magnets are a big help for cars in primer IMO......and a wet down also helps to see things.

    Rear Discs or Rear Diff?

I don't like the new 'Sure Grips' from China.....junk stuff imo. Did one for a member here and it needed some machine work. One of the 'pockets' that gives the bearing puller room to get under the bearing was pretty much non-existent and had to machine it. Not going to remove any bearings? With...

    ATF flush for the crankcase??

Well, the lifter noise is gone and I checked the exhaust manifolds etc and all that looks fine. As it is right now, it's running just like it has since I got it in 98.....dad bought the thing new in 95. I know about the intake problems and heads cracking etc but so far, none of that seems to be...

    ATF flush for the crankcase??

I rebuilt an engine for a guy at work that was like that. Asked him what kind of oil he use....Amelie...then ask how often he changed it and he said every 3k miles. Told him he needed to use something else and then showed him the push rods. It was a GM engine and the push rods were totally...

    ATF flush for the crankcase??

Pretty much what I did only with ATF that was sitting on the shelf and I knew I wouldn't be using it for anything else. Didn't have any diesel or cheap oil. Nothing much here anymore as far as fluids go from back then.... Thought about that too but don't think this engine has the gritty baked...

    Front drum wheel cylinders

You can do some 'minor' grinding on the knuckle but don't go nuts on it......smoothing the edges never hurt anything.

    ATF flush for the crankcase??

I've heard of using kero too but didn't have any.....and didnt rev the engine up much. Maybe 1300-1400 and watched the oil gauge Don't mind using this thing as a guinea pig since it has surpassed my expectations by a very long ways! Weelllll, figure I'd try to get another year out of it lol

    ATF flush for the crankcase??

Why, it's a beater LOL! Thing is, I figured this truck would be done over 10 years ago.....it's like an old Dodge Dart....it just won't quit. Everything on it works including the AC but nothing works very good lol

    ATF flush for the crankcase??

Well, have plenty of ATF laying around so may as well put it to use.....can't hurt 'rinsing' things out some.

    ATF flush for the crankcase??

I've heard of people doing this over the years but is it good, bad or indifferent? Thinking about trying it in the beater 95 Dakota....no better test mule than this thing. It developed a lifter tic a couple of days ago that came on a bit slow and got louder the next time I fired it up but so far...

Should you save old parts or sell them?
