I did a custom dash panel for my 71 cuda with Autometer gauges. I had a couple extra dash panels and one of them was sacrificed. I basically cut a piece of sheet metal to match the face of the panel and made a template of where I wanted the gauges to be placed. Pretty well straight forward.
I'm going to replace my leaf springs with Eaton Detroit Springs. They say they build them with the original blueprints and can adjust the final ride height up or down, in 1x inch increments. I called them and they asked a series of questions so they could make them for the intended...
I had the same issue with depth in my cuda. I went with 2.5" thick Spal fan set in a custom aluminum shroud from Summit. The fans attached to the shroud which gave it 3" total. They sell different thicknesses of fans. They also sell the fans with different CFM's which is important...
I also pulled the 4.10's out of my 77 and went with 3.23. I am happy with that change. I have a set of 3.55 in my cuda. The 3.23 are a good choice for any speed over 40 mph.
For the leaf springs on my Cordoba I'm looking at Eaton Detroit Springs in Detroit Michigan. They offer stock or custom leaf springs for whatever you want to do. They can alter your height higher or lower by up to 3" than stock height. They have the leaf spring blueprints for virtually...
About 6 years ago I installed a 4 link in my 71 Cuda (street driven). I have mixed feeling about that mod now. The ONLY thing I like about it is the cool looking factor. Its a noticeable looking upgrade and car guys comment all the time. Other than that it rides rough & noisy. In...
I have a serpentine system from March. I bought the cheaper "deluxe" version, cost was around $600. I love the sound the serpentine system makes when you rev the engine. Same sound as a blower but half as loud. Easy to adjust and never a problem. I bought at Summit for cheaper...
Post your decision and results with electric steering. It would be great to hear from someone who actually has one. My issue with going to electric steering is not only the noise (I'm sure it won't be much though), but the reliability of the unit. If it stops working can you still steer?
I saw one of these units being installed on the show "FantomWorks". They also installed the unit under the dash. My question would also be the noise level of the unit while its working.
I searched for the unit (part #FR40105) and couldn't find it anywhere but ebay at a price of $7289...
I have manual rack & pinion in my 71 Cuda from Flaming River. I upgraded the k frame to tubular IFS and 4-link Coil-Over Rear suspension with track bar from Control Freak www.freakride.com . They are one of the best companies I've ever dealt with. I really like the responsiveness of...
Yes I received my grips. Mine got tagged at the border and I had to pay an extra $48 for taxes and fees. When using USPS its like a lottery...most get through while some get checked and taxed. If you courier it always gets taxes, as far as I heard. Its about the only lottery I ever win.
