Can a camshaft be reground to a lesser profile without changing base circle? Example: I have Isky 270 Mega cam sitting around. Used it for a little while a long time ago. Sounds tuff but is a little too much for what I want to do. Could it be reground to a 262 Super cam?

Looked around on the web some...
Thinking about 4 new steel wheels for my 68 RR:
15x8, 5x4.5, 4.5 BS rear
15x7, 5x4.5, 4 BS front
My RR is really beat up. It was already an old car when I got it, and I've had it a long time. I'm surprised it's never appeared in one of these abandoned Mopar threads or web sites, but it...
