Many "Graveyard Cars" older episodes have been showing up on youtube this year. Mark has commented several times how he finish paints his restorations "twice" to make them shine and appear picture perfect. My question is wondering if, in the end, that is not the best method for paint longevity...
The rusty cast iron PH250 small block water pump (six vane) needed a renewal after having been installed ten years ago (with very little mileage): see foto #1.
A power drill and brush miraculously removed almost all the surface rust. Next was a coat of Ospho: see foto #2.
Now I look around my...
I am not convinced food now labeled "with probiotics" really are new and improved. By the same token, I wonder what is going on with the new spray paints (engine enamels, for example) that list ceramic on the label. What is this ceramic purported to do anyway?
A buddy just mentioned a line of wax products I never heard of before "Torque". Anybody have any knowledge/experience with this stuff? Thank you.

Some aftermarket fender adjusting shims are shaped a little differently than our factory original shims and besides that, they have a small hole at the top. Anyone know what purpose the little hole provides? Thank you.
My custom reproduction 1971 BBody backlight louvers had the pedestal with threaded stud snap off on the passenger side portion.
Because of the angle and location of the body hole that lines up with the stud, placement is critical so I did not even sand the broken ends. Just stuck them back...

Local car show this weekend, spent two hours hand-washing the '72 Satellite Sebring Plus.
Used the leaf blower to blow dry inaccessible areas like under exterior window moldings, around side-view mirror gaskets, and tail light lenses.
Pushed the vehicle out of the shade...
My driver's side hinge rebuild kit installation was kind of a half-failure. The door did not open smoothly and made a snapping sound. The leg that runs on the roller was not parallel to the ground but slanted up in the air some (see fotos). The angle caused one edge of the leg to cut a groove...
The tail lights for my 1972 Satellite Sebring Plus project car shed different light when comparing the driver's and passenger's side. Let me state that I changed over to a 1971 bumper/tail lights, so I guess I should have said "1971" Satellite. The driver's side is obviously brighter than the...
I don't weld and the gentleman who I thought was going to repair this trunk gutter problem is no longer available. It's a little more extensive than the fotos show because I did a little more sanding and a second hole made its appearance (about a 1/4" from the first hole). I would like to make a...
Was going to cover the concrete pillars in the garage with some thick reddish smooth rubber mat material I saw at Ace Hardware. Comes in different thicknesses and is a little pricey but sure to prevent a disaster.
But alas, before my plan was realized I found my driver's door up against a...
Anyone have a C body or Imperial (or Cadillac for that matter) with a power antenna who might be able to post some fotos on how the motor/antenna are mounted on a factory type installation? Thank you. (working on a '72 SSP)
Auto detail clay bar use on satin black paint?
I used a clay bar for the first time last week and was pleased with the results. However, I skipped the hood bulge which is painted black. Is it safe/recommended to use the clay bar on the black part of my hood? Thank you.
