I posted this on Charger.com, but I wanted to post it here for those following along at home. Anyway, I decided to go ahead and paint the car. We found an amazing amount of badness hiding under that hideous paint. There was never a solid answer as to what happened to the first paint job, but...
I got new hardware for the stainless trim on my 68 Charger grill. I don't have clear pictures of where the spring spacers go or the shorter studs go. I'd appreciate any help.
I was going to let them be as-is, but I'd like to get the hood latch and safety catch for my 68 Charger replated with proper color, finish etc.. Need someone that can turn them in 3-4 weeks if possible. I' in Austin,. TX if that matters.
Thanks,
Tim
I stopped by the shop yesterday to check on the car, and they have almost all the jambs and undersides done. The pics do not do the color justice, but you get the idea. We're hoping for full paint within 2 weeks. Best I get going on the motor and grill. Full pictures here...

I was looking for door strikes for the 68 Charger and somehow Yahoo returned a photo of the reproduction front grill kit in silver trim. Classic Industries actually had one in stock. I called to confirm and lamented I had placed an order yesterday to get free shipping. The guy on the phone...

I'm getting to the end of my list (finally). Looks like the front and read door glass channel felts are out of stock everywhere. Any suggestions on who to try so I can go ahead and rebuild my door glass tracks.
Thanks,
Tim
I have the housings for the front turn signals, and they have the same part number. The lenses however are left / right specific. This confuses me. Same housing but different lens side to side. What am I missing?
