Hi
I’m starting over. Got a 78 440 block. Going 20 over with kB hypereutechnics. Stock crank. 10/10, hyd. Roller from bullet and morell lifters, m1 intake, qft 750. Eddy rpm with PRW rockers. Smith brothers pushrods. Dougs headers. Will post pics from machine shop tomorrow.
I am building a street motor. 440 .30 over eddy rpm 84cc heads. I’m debating doing a flat tappet cam vs a hydraulic roller. Looking for insight. This will be a 98% street motor and be in the 9.3-1 range with pistons im using. Probly around 480hp.
Driving home after a 96 hour shift. Just putting down the road. Horrible noise. Shut it down immediately. Towed home and found this. Still in investigation stage. Looking a Harland sharp and smith brothers push rods. Possible coil bind. More info to come. Less than 500 miles.
Just wondering if my 8.75 is worth putting a tru-trac in to vs. saving up for a dana 60. My car is 95% a street car with 285's and a 440 making around 500 HP, 600 TQ. I don't beat on my cars (too much), but don't want to waste money if I am just going to blow up the rear end. I have a...
hi
I just switched from electric pump to the edelbrock 7123 pump (110 GPH) on my 440. I have a bullet mechanical roller cam. Is the comp cam 4646 the best choice of fuel push rod to go with? Thanks. Erik.
b&m 70274 has 29,200 btu's of cooling or absorbtion capacity. The 70268 has 13000 capacity. Nasty 440, 3000 stall. Do I need the 70274 or will the 70268 suffice? Is there a point of too much cooling? Thanks. Erik.
any suggestions for a dropped base air cleaner on a 1969 coronet with 440, m1, quick fuel 750 with electric choke? I'm looking at the Mancini drop base but wanted input. Thanks!
hi all
I backed my rocker shafts off while my engine was stored. I carefully rolled it through by hand once a week. I am ready to fire it off again. Can I just re-torque the rocker shafts to 25ft. Lbs. (starting in the middle and working outward), or do I need to break all bolts loose and...
Hi all
I tried searching but came up with no answer. I am looking to buy a manual valve body for my 727. I like the cheetah but want to know if I can choose to put it just drive and let it walk the gears or If I have to up shift/down shift every time. Thanks. Erik.
Hi all
Partially embarrassed to ask this. But I am ready to mate the 727 to my 440. Is it just flex plate to torque converter? I understand about star pattern on the bolts for torque and rotation the converter until seated completely. Just looking for guidance on order from back of crank to...
Hey guys. I'm looking at 1500.00 to have my rear end rebuilt. That's labor and parts with a truetrac and reusing my gears, 3.55s. Sealed bearings, no brakes though. Would I be better just getting a S60 at 2300? New
Morning guys,
I just pulled my 727 tf from my car and want to know if I should rebuild or purchase a confirmed rebuilt unit from a respected name (pat Blias) off of craigslist. The guy has doccumentation for the rebuild (stock rebuild) and the pan off to inspect. He is asking 500 O.B.O. He...
Hey guys,
