Will a 440 with Hooker long tubes installed, come out if 69 Super Bee, without the tranny? I really don’t want to go through re-installing headers again with motor in the car. Has A/T.

Crawling under drivers side of 440 motor, trying to identify this 440, and with everything in the way including steering column, headers, etc....the best I THINK I'm reading: 9698880• 440

Will a number on a 440 block tell you year and whether or not if steel crank with pilot hole for manual trans? If so, where is this number located? Is the number readable if motor is in the car?

Looking at 69 Coronet RT, has original 440 HP motor with a/t.
Putting my budget together, and if i chose to convert to manual transmission, would this 440 motor have the hole for pilot shaft bushing?

I'm looking for experience converting factory column shift auto to a 4 speed manual in 69 charger.....
Is hydraulic the way to go, or search for used pedal assembly with the necessary linkage components?

So, in today's world, if your not doing 70-75 on the highway, you get run over....my 69, 383, 4 speed car pretty much screams at those speeds.....does that mean I have 3.55 gears? (Or higher)? Is there simple way to find present gear ratio? If wanting highway cruiser, what should I be running...
69 383, I can't swing the ones I like...( fabricated chrome valve covers), so leaves me with stamped steel poopoo from overseas I assume....any one recommend a brand that won't leak?

Was told by Mancini Racing, the fabricated valve covers which i love (see pic), will not fit if you are running an MSD distributor on big block.....anybody with this experience?
Dont like the stamped steel chromies, rather prefer the fabricated chrome covers.
That being said, they appear wider, and wondered if headers will be an issue?
