I'm going to replace my clutch (including the pressure plate), and I'm wondering if I can re-use my old bolts, both on the PP & on the flywheel.

I know it would be "easy" enough to do so, but I've got everything I need, except for new bolts & I'm eager to get started. OK to...
Big block with OEM heads.... which exhaust manifold/header bolts are “wet”? (I have all bolts; no studs).
I guess RTV is recommended on those threads, but is it absolutely necessary? (I reinstalled my headers without RTV on all the bolts.)
Are *all* the bolts “wet” or just certain ones?

4-speed: I can't get my shifter to the left of the "H" pattern, so as to push it up into reverse gear. (It *was* working fine!)

My '69 RR (383) has been dripping oil, so I cleaned it all off underneath & ran the engine at idle for about 15 minutes. It took about 10 minutes to start dripping, but then continued at about 1 drop every 20-30 seconds (!)

The rod to my clutch pedal rattles loudly on the knob that it's attached to. I was thinking maybe I needed to put some washers on it (metal, plastic, or rubber?) to snug it up.
But here's how I reattached the retaining collar, and it's snug now. See the photo... Is this correct or...
Here's the base of my oil dipstick tube where it enters the block just above the oil pan. Is this OK?, ....or should the flange on the tube be all the way down against the cast block?
I bought the car this way. Should I beat it down?
