So the 69 A12 that I purchased was originally drum/drum. The previous owner installed a common front disc brake kit but continued to use the drum/drum master. I ordered a master from online tube that was listed as manual or power brake application. My concern is the piston does not have the...
So on a 67 B Body ( GTX), I need a steering coupler as the gear has the one fat spline but the coupler that was beat in place did not. I noticed Tony’s Parts is selling a new repop but states it is power steering only. Is that spline the only difference or is there something else?
On a 67 GTX factory hemi with power brakes. Is there anything special about the bendix booster or is it just the brackets and linkage that mounts it that is unique for a hemi application?
I took my 67 Hemi GTX for a first shakedown run today. Had trouble with all the wheels dragging a little once heated up. One wheel more than the rest but that caliper needs to be replaced ( bendix 4 piston). Booster was rebuilt by booster steve, master cylinder is new ,all hydraulic hoses are...
Working on a new project. 67 GTX with factory disc. When I looked at the position of the bleeder screws they were both on the bottom. Can this be correct?
I finally had the opportunity to try this method that I found here on the forum probably a year ago. Replacing the lower control arm bushings without damaging anything. After driving out the pin and removing the balance of the bushing I welded a couple washers inside the sleeve and pressed out...
So I took my first significant drive with the 67 Coronet RT that I’m completing. Logged about 150 miles on it round trip. Biggest complaint I have is with the steering gear. It is a remanufactured Cardone product. It has about 50/60 degrees off free play with the engine off. I’ve been told this...
Reassembling the front suspension on the 67 Coronet. The strut rod bushing that clamps the k frame, is there a metal sleeve that I’m missing that acts as a positive stop? If so I don’t have them. I would have thought they come with the new bushing but no. So I don’t know if I need something or...
on a 67 gtx manual 4 wheel drum, is there any valving inside the distribution block , tried using a pressure bleeder today after replacing wheel cylinders set at about 7psi and barely dripped out brake fluid from the bleeders. Fronts bled fine. Or do I have a restricted rear hydraulic hose?
Working on a 67 Imperial at the shop. Noticed the power steering pump really vibrates if I raise the rpm. Took it off today, one of the two brackets is cracked. It has a generic bolt being used in the lower pivot location and I was told it is missing a rubber bumper between the brackets. My...
Has anyone every installed a set of magnum force adjustable tubular upper control arms? I cant seem to keep the alignment where I set it. If I hit some bumps or take a sharp turn the arm shifts and I loose the steering wheel center to make me aware it happened again. I have tightened the...
bought a disc brake conversion from leed brakes for the 66 Hemi coronet. Is it advisable to tee the PCv hose to supply the booster? The afb’s have no large vacuum nipples and the intake has no other vacuum source that I can see. What do you think?

For a 66 steering column, 4sd car, does anyone make lower steering column bushings , bearing or whatever is at the end of that column. Seems very loose down there, or should it be?
On my 67 GTX the stop lights stay on. It seems the knuckle on the master cylinder push rod just barely touches the switch when pedal is not applied. There seems to be a lot of free play in the pedal. I can place my foot underneath the pedal and lift it a good inch. Manual drum brakes by the way...
I ordered a 1323M Cardone master cylinder from rock auto. 1323M is a drum drum master for power or manual brakes. The advertised picture shows the correct cylinder with the single bolt to hold down the lid which covers equal sized reservoirs.
I received a cylinder witch has unequal reservoirs (...
I'd like to raise the tail of my 67 gtx by an inch or so, but I don't want air shocks and I don't care for the look of old school hot rod shackles. Has anyone looked into using a shackle from a different year or body mopar to keep a stock look but lift the tail?
The center to center on the...
