How many of you have had a torsion bar break. I had a 73 Satellite in the late 70’s. Parked on a job site in the morning, and when I got back in the car to drive home, noticed something wrong . Torsion bar broke sitting still.
I have a 69 GTX, A33 car which when I purchased it had 11" drums at all four wheels. The build sheet reads B31 brakes, which I think would be hevi duty manual drums, but someone has converted it to power. Braking action was poor to the point of being scary, but no "Brakes" light on the dash ever...
I am thinking about replacing the manual steering box in my 69 GTX. It has a lot of slop in the box. Trying to decide between a rebuilt unit from Firm Feel and a new production unit from PST. The unit from PST is less expensive. Any opinions?
