Just came to my head:
Would it be possible to get more caster if you take a poly LCA bushing and cut off some material of the tapered section? The LCA would move closer to the K-frame which should give you more caster..
Obviously you need adjustable strut rods to make this work.
Am I missing...
Does anyone have a LCA lying around and could measure what's the diameter of the strut rod hole? I need to know how much play is normal (strut rod measures .628 diameter). And also the width of the hole.
Thanks!
Need some measurements for a B-body strut rod:
shoulder to shoulder length
diameter of strut rod where it fits in the LCA (between shoulder and thread)
diameter of K-frame hole
Picture for reference:
Need a measurement of a 68-70 B-body lower ball joint as I don't have one laying around.
Can anyone measure the distance between the balljoint stud and the center of the tie rod attachment hole?
Thanks a lot!
Does anyone know what is the castle nut size of B-body tie rods? What diameter is the tie rod stud (major and minor diameter)? Should be a 7° taper afaik.
Thanks
Just saw pictures of the UCAs used on Dodge Vipers and the look very similar to the UCAs used on B-bodies. Has anyone measured the dimensions and compared them to the muscle car era UCAs?

I recently got a new pair of brake calipers (slider style type) which were powder coated. Should I sand off and polish the slider ways on the adapters and the caliper (brake pads and caliper move very slightly when applying the brake/the pads wear) or just use them as they are (powder coated)...
I have two Bendix boosters in need of a rebuild and I'm trying to figure out what to do. Since I'm located in Europe it would be quite expensive to have the boosters shipped to the US, having them rebuilt, and sending them back (customs on top).
So I was thinking about rebuilding them myself...
What's the going rate for Bendix dual diaphragm cores? I have 2 and want to see if it is worth having them rebuilt (I'm located in Europe so shipping to and from the States is on top)..
I found this steering box which I haven't seen before. Looks like the newer Borgeson boxes with the cast mounting ears but the input shaft side looks fatter. 1 1/4 sector shaft only.
