Here are three versions of plugs for the side of my 383 block. The threads in the block are ok only up to the depth the factory used.
Brass was my plan, but the original plugs aren't Chinese...
So I received my original 22" radiator back from Glen-ray today. They do excellent work, and Bob is a great guy! Here are some pics. I am truly satisfied beyond belief.
Wow. Has any of you had trouble installing these heater hoses?!
These are way tight and very hard. I just got these through Year One a couple weeks ago. While trying to install on the heater core side, it's so tight the heater core tube actually cuts into the inside of the hose.
