Been searching for the clips that attach the heater tube hose to the heater box and the dash vents for a 68 b body. Part 1-48-151 "CLIP, Heater Tube Mtg".....number 6026 147.
Anyone know where I an find these?

First I have read everything that I can find on this I think...
My Temp gauge in my 68 charger always reads low. Between the 120 and 170 mark.
At operating temp with an infrared temp gun on the pump, housing, temp sending unit area etc...temp consistently reads 170-190 degrees...

What would be the factory correct way to install the heater hose onto the outer water pump nipple/fitting? Does it go all the way down till the end is touching the the water pump housing...down past the temperature sending unit...or just slid onto the fitting until the diameter...

So I have few questions regarding the correct heater hose set up for my 68 Charger 440.
It is a non A/C car. The short/low bracket on the passenger side valve cover. I have the correct numbered hoses....1300 523 and 2435 961.
My outstanding questions are...
1. Confirm that...
what should the original color/finish of these metal hardware parts be on the vent box under the dash? What about the clips? You can see i have one cleaned up.
