So I need a new voltage limiter for my 69 coronet rt, I looked at RTE website and the rte4 looks like mine but does not my car on the list of fitments. On RTE ebay store the same thing says it does not fit. Which one did you guys order?
69 coronet rt with ralley dash. I had everything working then today as I was warming it up to take to alignment shop I lost all my gauges. I assume it's the voltage limiter. But I lost turn signals also. Is that connected or 2 separate issues?
Here is what I have, new 440 build using a pertronix 3 distributor and matching coil. I have good voltage at coil but no spark. Disassembled distributor and inspected and no apparent damage. What am I missing?
69 coronet rt, I replaced the antiquated EI with a petronix flamethrower 3 no problems. If I connect everything the way that previous owner wired it overcharges up to 16.7V see pic1.
My alternator has 2 field connections the diagram shows 1 field connection see pic 2
If I wire as the diagram...
All I did is change the spark plugs. Now I have no spark. It's an old Prestolite electronic ignition with an accel super coil, that's how it came. Measured voltage at coil 12.5V on + 9.8 on distributor side. Primary resistance is dead on spec, secoundary resistance is a little high. No fire on...
I ordered a new wiring diagram for the coronet. But in the mean time are the color codes for tail light wires the same on say a 71 charger or roadrunner?
So as I'm going through this car front to back I discovered that nobody wired the new brake light switch. Anybody have the diagram for that circuit ? 71 plymouth satellite. Thanks Roger
I have replaced all the wiring in my 71 charger rt. Found out voltage limiter is not doing its job. Put an ohm meter on the gauges and all tested open circuit. Are they fried? If so can they be rebuilt? Thanks
I just bought a 71 r/t charger previous owner said he left ignition on for hours. Subsequently smoking voltage regulator. He wired a toggle switch and push button starter it could be ran. Now I have no power any where. Whwere do I start
