I’m changing the reluctor and pickup in the dizzy. The new roll pin seems too small. It won’t fit tight in either the reluctor wheel or the slot in the shaft, although it seems to be not as bad in the shaft. Has anyone seen this and how did you deal with it?
With the key in the on or run position I have no power on the positive wire on the coil. There is power going from the switch to the MSD box, it’s the top red wire on the left side of the plug. Is the box shot or could there be something else? This box doesn’t have very many miles on it. I think...
Can someone tell me which wire is the signal wire? Black is ground and white is the light. That leaves power and signal. Shouldn’t they both be insulated? Shouldn’t the signal wire be green?
68 Charger rewired with a quik wire kit. What is the purple wire for? It’s on the back of the tic tic tach. It runs up to the distributor but ends in the open, not connected to anything. The car has an MSD in it. Would that wire have connected to the original distributor?

Light switch numbers are 2864134 36033 then 0 5 4 7 Is the 0 5 4 7 the date code, as in Feb 23/67?
Wiper switch numbers are 2864014 23199 then 2678 Again, is the 2678 the date code? That would put it at Sept 24/68. A little late for a 68 car.
Last year I bought a 68 Charger that was redone. I was crawling around this thing today researching gremlins. There are three wires coming off the NSS, one brown and two black that are wrapped in electrical tape. I can follow it up the firewall to the top and viola, no brown wire! No wonder the...
