Any reputable rebuilders on here able to see which of the two is the culprit in my wiper's intermittent functionality and rebuild it? (Parks at top, have to turn switch off for them to return to the down position, sometimes they'll stop half way and not work at all unless nudged, etc.)
1966...
Car has sat for around 4+ months. The voltage at the alternator was a bit high beforehand (15.5-16.5 if I remember correctly), and it was something I intended to work on when I finished moving states, but the battery read normally (I can't remember the voltage regulator). I just got my car back...
'66 Charger has a dealer-installed Northlander A/C head unit under the dash. It's all hooked up except for the red power wire. Previous owner said it had an inline fuse before it was clipped. For easiest install, where should I run this power wire to and what amp fuse should I use? 16ga wire.
Having charging issues. Got a new alternator from Layson’s. Has two field posts on the back. Is this the right style of alternator? Does one need to be grounded to the case for proper function? If so. What gauge ground wire to use?
Points. Mechanical voltage regulator. ‘66 Charger.
Pulled my dash and the radio / heater controls were only mounted to the gauge cluster itself. They weren't screwed / bolted to the dash or frame in any way. Is this correct?
Picked up an aftermarket radio unit from RetroSound.

Manual calls for yellow wire to constant 12v source. What is the best way to do this?
'66 Charger. New to electrical stuff so I want to make sure I get this...
I have an Edelbrock carb w/ an electric choke. Going to run a wire to right side of ballast. Does this need to be fused? 16 gauge live wire and 16 gauge ground wire good, or different?
Thank you.
Having my gauge cluster sent off to get worked on. Am I able to run the vehicle to work on other things with the wires disconnected, esp. for the ammeter?
Maybe silly question but rather safe than sorry.
Trying to finish taking gauge cluster off. My allen keys won’t fit in the heater control knobs and I can’t seem to get the radio knobs off, unless I’m just an idiot. Something is holding the radio in place and I can’t find what.

Car was working well a few months ago. Replaced the timing chain and water pump and immediately started having weird electrical issues. Amp gauge would drain with power draw but not increase with RPM. Wipers worked very strangely, when they worked at all. Couldn't hold a charge.
One...
Been having a lot of issues with the charging circuit on my '66 Charger. Smoking voltage regulator. Windshield wipers suddenly stopped functioning as they should. No charge at RPM. Took off the old engine harness to find this.
How do I proceed, can I salvage this or should I just replace the...
My windshield wipers worked perfectly fine a week ago. Then I replaced the timing chain and water pump. I'm unsure what I could have bumped along the way to mess up the windshield wipers, or if it is just a coincidence that this happened at the same time... But I want to try and troubleshoot as...
The amp gauge will drop when I turn on headlights, brake lights, and fluctuates with turn signals the way it always has. But it does not move past 12 o'clock and doesn't react at all to throttle. Even when it drops below 12 o'clock with lights and such on, it does not move up at all with...
Never messed with audio before. Can I seamlessly add two more speakers and an aux cable to a 1966 Charger factory A/M radio? Or do I need to do some extra work? I can't find a diagram for the radio to see what connections there are.

Purchased this for my '66 Charger. Upgrading from points.
Just slightly confused on what to do with the three loose wires. Instructions say to not use the green one? For the remaining two. Do...
I bought a new wiring harness from M&H. What size amp alternator will the original wiring harness support? Or will I have to change wire gauges if I want to upgrade to a higher amp alternator?
What the hell would cause this lol... Was not electrical. Was in car, turned key. Was cranking for like five seconds. I see fire come out from under the hood. I turned the car off. Went to check out what happened. I saw nothing burnt. Nothing smelled. Obviously, that scared me, so I put the old...
Always had an issue with the speedometer light rarely working (sometimes would flicker, was on for at most 4 seconds). Now while mid drive, all the lights shut off. Ten seconds later, flickered slightly while driving for like 10 seconds, then haven't worked since.
I'm hoping this isn't a power...
I drop about 2-3 volts when hitting brake lights, which also dims all interior lights and headlights very slightly. Turn signals and headlights do the same. I have to set a very aggressive idle in order to prevent draining the battery at stops (which causes a hard jump when shifting from park...
Most of my gauge lights work. Seems as though the tachometer arm doesn't light up anymore. But the speedometer dials and arm will light up (the most I've had it work is like 5 seconds) then will die. Like once a week it will light up. What should I look to correct first?
