Hi all,
Odd occurrence….my ‘68 Super Bee with a 383 and 4 speed has been running great. To Carlisle and back no problems.
Out of the blue yesterday, it started fine and I went to a friend’s house and on the way it started to seemingly miss somewhat. On my way back home, it ran more and...
Hi all,
Follow up to my posting in the Fuel and Air Systems Forum. As mentioned over there, new carb solved the issue of no squirter action. I'll dive into that carb and figure that out later.
My immediate issue is that the car starts, idles and drives (383, 4 speed), but at partial throttle...
Hi all. Quick question. Is the turn signal flasher and the 4 way flasher the same part number on a 68 Super Bee? Just did LED replacement and the turn signals won’t work. I know I need a Grote 44710 for example for the turn signals. My 4 ways haven’t worked since I got the car, but not sure...
Good morning all…
Before I order, can you please confirm that these 158 bulbs look right? The FSM states 158’s, but for some reason I thought the bulbs were push and turn sockets, not T10.
Thanks in advance!
Bob
Hi all,
Changing the bulbs in my marker lights. I notice that they are pretty loose in the housing when pushed back into place. Can I just bend out the metal tabs to make them tighter or is there a better way?
Thanks!
Bob
Hi all,
In my continuing quest to address issues with the Super Bee, I see that my tic-toc-tach seems out of whack. I think it’s ok down low, but where the gear/tire calculator says I should be spinning about 2600 rpm at 60 mph, I’m at 3000 or a little over. Plus the needle tends to bounce...
Hi all,
I've read many threads on the "orange ECU"...but am left still wondering where to get one should I need one.
I am chasing an intermittent moderate throttle miss in my '68 Super Bee. Runs fine otherwise. 383, 4 speed. I have recently replaced the plugs (they were 5 steps too hot!)...
Hi all,
As I dig into my 1968 Super Bee some more, I’m trying to figure out exactly what I have. Like I now know I have 452 heads vs the stock 906 heads.
i also have a MOPAR electronic ignition. Is there a way I can determine what year this is from so I can replace parts if needed down the...
Hi all,
The Super Bee is running good, but not great...I've put on a new distributor cap, rotor, wires and set the timing. It runs "OK", but not like I feel it should. I pulled one of the plugs and it is clean and gapped properly, but...it's a Champion RV17YC. When I look this up at the...
Hi all,
installing a Pertronix Igniter and Flamethrower coil in my ‘69 Super Bee this after. i don’t like to make assumptions, so I’m asking for your feedback.
The car already has some sort of electronic ignition in it…it doesn’t look like a Pertronix. Can you help me ID this part? Looks...
Hi all,
the SUper Bee was running pretty hot (per the temp gauge) while sitting in some bumber to bumber traffic. I bought a 12" thermostatically controlled fan which I am installing as a push through. I have most of the wiring completed, but I have a question...
They sent me a temperature...
Hi all - I need a tag light assembly to get my 1968 Super Bee through inspection (1 time so I can get street rod tags - no inspections after that).
Can someone post a picture of their assembly so I can see how it's munted and determine what I need to get to install? Pic of my rear tag are...
Hi all - so I go to the Delaware DMV to get the Super Bee inspected (just got it three days ago). First of all...they have to do an emissions! Luckily that (barely) passed.
BUT...Because when I turned my widnshield wipers off in mid sweep, they did not "park" back in the beginning location -...
