Somebody gave me the factory console tach to fit in my 65 Coronet. I have to order the sending unit board from RTEng but right now the tach has no wires on it. Just the 2 bare studs and the lamp. How do I know which wire is 12v and which is the wire in from the coil?
I was given a 65 coronet factory console tach for my car. Just the tach. On the back there are 2 studs and the light. Is there supposed to be a sending unit for this tach? If not it should be a simple hook up. I can't see the tach in the factory wiring diagram.
OK, so I've been through the grounds on all my park lite and tail lites. Everything works as it should but when I turn on my park lites, the left turn indicator on the cluster glows green as if I had that lite on solid. When I unhook the left front park lite, the lite goes out. Any ideas?
Ok, so I've pulled the wire off and to the fuel gauge and grounded it directly and it ticks(no noise, Just moves like a second hand on a watch)) a bit then goes to full. pulled the sending unit and replaced the float. Checked the resistance of the sending unit and it runs from 8 ohns or s to 55...
In the back of the 65 Belv instrument cluster circuit board, there are 2 5 pin connections. How do I tell which is pin one and which is pin 5? I want to make sure the harness gets plugged in correctly.
So I'm putting the c pillar lights back in my 64 Belvedere 2 door Hardtop. Problem is that the light sockets seem to be live all the time. Doesn't matter what position the door pin or head light switch is in. I had the pin switches out last fall and cleaned, and tested them and they work as...
I'm going through the underhood Harness on my 64 Belvedere and replacing the hacked up elecronic ignition wires. Anyway, the instructions for the mopar kit tell you to find the feed wire that comes into the balast resistor from the ignition. When I test with my multimeter both wires leading to...
Does anyone have an underhood harness for a 64 Belvedere they would part with? I want to go back to the mopar alternator/regulator setup and I am also having hot coil issues. The car was butchered with a GM alternator and no voltage regulator and also a half wired electronic ignition. I want to...
My 64 has had the electronic ignition conversion by someone in it's past. Now I am having trouble with the coil overheating. It has a balast resister but still boils the coil. I mean blistering hot to the point where a brand new MSD Blaster leaked it's oil into the valley pan. I'm on coil 3 and...
