Doing Poly to 360 swap in my 65 coronet and I need to change power steering pumps. I don't want to change the box. What is the easiest set up for lines and box fittings? I also don't want to change the front timing cover etc from the poly to the 360.
looking at tossing a 360 into my 65 as a placeholder while I decide whether to replace the poly permanent or rebuild it. it would be a roughly 300 horse commando crate engine going in. What manifolds are the best fit? Headers are not gonna happen.
How the heck do you get the chrome drip rail trim off of a 64/65 Plymouth belvedere Hardtop? I have everything off except the pieces over the doors. I know they are clipped on and I don't want to damage them. All the screws and the window track stuff is off. Even the pieces that run down the 1/4...
I'm converting my 318 Poly to 4 bbl in my 65. Now my accelerator cable is about 2 inches too short. What have other guys done other than buying a Lokar setup? I want something simple that won't like some Bosephus just cobbled it up. (Although that is in fact what will happen...)
I'm upgrading the 65 Coronet to a dual exhaust system It will be the same system I had on my 64 Belvedere before it burned in a storage fire. Manifolds into a 2.5 inch x-pipe through the muffs into TTI 2.5 tailpipes. On the last one, I had thrush turbos and the drone was so loud the kids didn't...
Wondering what people are running for front wheels and tires on their 65 Coronets? I have 15x5.5 draglites and a 215 70s and I'm catching the bottom corner of the fender when turning. I have 275's on the back. I was thinking of going to a 225/70 on a 7 inch wide wheel when I redo the front end...
I have set of draglites to run on my coronet for the summer. Unfortunately the factory original studs all around are too short. They only come halfway through the wheel. What is my best option for longer studs for the car. I have brand new nuts and washers and even have left handed nuts for the...
So a year after loosing my 64 Belvedere in a fire I'm back in the game. Thanks to Vipertodd on this site I have a 65 Coronet 500. After almost 2700 miles of shipping, it's home. The car is exactly as Todd described. It has it's issues as he described, but over all I am a happy owner. Thanks to...
Ok, so I just bought a 65 Coronet Hardtop to replace the 64 Belvedere I lost in a fire a year ago. I want to give it some stance and put SS springs on it. I want it to sit similar to the belvy in my avatar Which ones should I use 3400? 3800? Car is currently completely stock. I'll be picking up...
Can anyone tell me where the rear lap belts mounting holes should be in my 64 2 door hard top? I have new belts and a new hardware kit but not sure where the holes go.
Anybody have any pics of the sunvisor arms for the 64 Belvedere/Fury Hardtop? I have a set that came with the car but they don't seem to fit. I need to see what the end looks like that screws to the roof.
Looking to buy a new rad and not sure what I can use. It's a 64 Belvedere with a big block. I want a 3 core aluminum 22 inch wide. Does it matter where the top hose goes on? I am thinking that it doesn't as long as the bottom is one the driver's side. Any advice?
What are the options for shifters with a cable shift trans. The car is a 65 with a cable shift trans and a column shift. Looking at going to a vintage style floor mounted aftermarket one. Can it be done?
So I'm putting the c pillar lights back in my 64 Belvedere 2 door Hardtop. Problem is that the light sockets seem to be live all the time. Doesn't matter what position the door pin or head light switch is in. I had the pin switches out last fall and cleaned, and tested them and they work as they...
What are you guys with later trans running for driveshafts in your 64-65 Bbodies. The shaft that was in my Belvedere was was too long. It was jammed up against the ballon seal at ride height. Almost had to use a prybar to get it in. The car has the stock rear spings with a 69 727 with the slip...
What do I need to change my manual brakes to power in my 64 Belvedere. Put a dual resevoir MC on last fall and it takes 2 feet to stop the damn thing. Changed Brake Rods, Holes on the pedal, but no difference.
OK, so I converted to dual Master Cylinder in my 64. Problem is, the brake rod apears to be too long and is not letting the piston in the MC return far enough. The MC stays pumped up all the time and I cant press the pedal hard enough to stop. What does everyone else use for the rod to the MC. I...
What is the difference between the 3800 LB ss Springs and the 3400LB version? Do they make the car sit different or do they just ride stiffer? Does anyone have the 3800 pound ones on their street rides? Anyone have pics with the 3800s?
