Just picked up this fine vehicle, it's just got (2) too many doors.
It's very original, 1 owner car. It still has the original trunk mat. Bought from same dealer as our 69 SS and lived just 2 miles away it's whole life. Probably going to part it out.
I think our 69 Sport Satellite has this option. Can someone explain why the hell they would put manually adjusted brakes on a car? Every month or so my dad would come home from work and tell me to adjust them. I started at 12 years old. I'm a wizard with a brake spoon now. What was Mopars logic?
Well, we coaxed her onto the stretcher so she can be taken for some much needed attention.
She's been in the family since birth (hers and mine), a true survivor.
I had to park her due the the window corners leaking, and there she sat, resting.
Now its time for her to be rewarded for her many...
Are there any references for firewall penetrations? I found 2 large holes under the voltage regulator but I don't know why they are there. It's a non-A/C car.
Thanks!
It's been over 25 years since I tore through the neighborhood in her, but I still remember how I'd be shaking getting out of her after putting her though her paces. I was a kid in a man's car and damn lucky I never did anything too stupid. The guy I bought her from warned me not to get her...
First, I don't know what this piece of metal is called that the hood latch attaches to but mine looks like it is from another car and modified to fit. I have a 1968 GTX and looking at other car pictures mine looks wrong. The hole where the release handle goes through it looks very different than...
I was poking around my trunk today and I noticed something very weird. The right side has blue body color painted undercoating sprayed on. The left side and underside of the dutchman panel / package tray has this black looking spray. Did someone spray 2/3 of the trunk sometime in it's life with...
We have a trunk light on our 69 Sporty, but I don't usually see them on most cars, just the empty nub.
Do standard wiring harnesses come with the required wire even if no trunk light was ordered?
Is the only way to tell if a trunk light is original is from the build sheet?
Thanks!
When I pulled the carpet out of my 68 GTX I found this odd cut someone had patched over. I have been scratching my head trying to figure out why it's there. I plan to beat it down and weld it up. Or should I see how close it is to where an overdrive clearance would need to go?
Any ideas?
Thanks.
When I bought my 1968 GTX it was painted black exterior & black interior. It is an original EE1 Midnight Blue Metallic exterior & S6B Light Blue Interior car per the fender tag. I have convinced myself that it should go back to blue on the outside but I am tempted to keep the interior black. I...
Is the wide chrome trim that runs along the bottom of the windows what the fender tag code M31 - belt mouldings indicate? The RR has it but not the GTX or SS. It seems too fancy for a RR... unnecessary added weight and all. I do like the look though. I don't see it on many cars.
Thanks!
Edit: A...
There seems to be 2 different possibilities when it comes to the lower dash pad / center A/C register for non-AC Plymouths:
Condition 1: No Opening at all
Condition 2: Opening with delete plate / blank off plate
My non-AC 1968 GTX is condition 2, and my non-AC 1969 RR is condition 1. If I go...
