I'm trying to figure out where I should connect the AC vent control vacuum line on my 440. I also need to know where the vacuum line goes through the firewall. The AC is one of the final parts of my 5 year restoration project
I've read many threads and a lot of web searching and I'm having a hard time finding a direct answer. I have a 72 Roadrunner with a 440, Eldebrock Performed RPM intake and a Holley 750 carb and as you can imagine I have very little hood clearance. I'm ready to buy a low profile air cleaner...
After a long few years my 72 GTX is getting very close to being finished and I'm down to the last few components. In an attempt to get as close to original as my capabilities will allow I'm trying to use the correct hardware whenever possible. I'm ready to install the heater control valve...
Does anyone have any experience with the aftermarket tail light lenses that are sold by Classic Industries. They are somewhat expensive but about half the price of some of the NOS ones you can find on line. Mine are OK but they have room for improvement.
Still working on the 72 RR GTX restoration and I'm not sure what type of mirror was originally used on a single side mirror car. I'm not sure if the one that was on the car when I bought it is the right one. I know the car did come with a single manual side mirror.
I've installed the parking brake cable and successfully installed a new grommet where the cable exits the interior through the firewall under the front fender (top arrow). Is there another grommet where the cable goes through the torque box and back under the car? (lower arrow) It appears to be...
can someone send me a picture on the nuts that hold the electrical connector to the firewall on a 72 Roadrunner? I bought the engine compartment bolt kit but I've lost track of what's what and I have bolts and nuts everywhere
Does anyone know if the 1972 non air grabber cars came with an under hood mat? If so who makes them? I found one on E-Bay but it's strange that I can't find one at Year One or Classic.
Does anyone know if the 1972 rear bumpers are the same with the exception of the holes that are around the tail lights that hold the rubber bumper ring? The rubber bumper ring was severily damaged when I removed it so I could get the bumper rechromed. The nuts were rusted and things didnt turn...
Does anyone one know what color the bolts were that hold the support bars that run from the cowling to the front fenders? I know the engine compartment and the other fender bolts are the same color as the body but I've noticed that the 2 support bars are typically painted black regardless of...
I'm neck deep in restoring my 1972 GTX and purchased a during my never ending quest for parts I found a very solid 71 Satellite Sebring that I've been driving around and having some fun with until my 72 is back on the road. It appears that the 1971 Sebring has 1972 center caps and the my 1972...
oh no not another one. Found this 71 Satellite Belvedere / Satellite RH2301 that was cloned into a Road Runner many many years ago. Clone work includes a working Rally tac dash, correct steering wheel and dash insert RR emblem. All the patina was included at no extra charge. The car still has...
Working on a true 1972 Roadrunner GTX and I noticed that it has two horns ( one on each side) but not the Roadrunner Beep Beep horn. Did the 1972 RR GTX leave the factory with the Beep Beep horn or was it an option?
I've thinking about putting an Edelbrock Performer RPM intake with a Holley 750 carb on my 1972 440 Roadrunner and I'm not sure if it will fit under my stock hood. Is anyone running this set-up in a 72 with the stock hood? I also have a high capacity Moroso oil pan I was thinking about using...
Hello Fellow B Body fans, this is my first post and hopefully someone can help. I just purchased my 3rd 1972 Roadrunner , well actually my 2nd RM cause the middle one was a clone, and I need to replace the bushings on the column shifter Z-Bar. I'm working on an almost all original 440 GTX and...
