Haven't been watching drag racing on TV for awhile now but did record the race at Texas and watching it now and they had top qualifiers sitting on a saddle but not on a real horse????.....oh crap, no way!! I have nothing wrong with sitting on a saddle so long as the saddle is on a 'real' horse!!
Been a long time ago but it happened..... @kiwigtx but really like it when I tree someone and then they break out and still didn't make it to the line first!
Running about .004" deep on a spooled 8 3/4 and was wondering if there any benefit to leaving it like that for drag racing? This guy is wanting to go at least high 9's and after seeing the shoddy welds on the car (Fox body Mopar power), I wouldn't be comfortable going 14's with it.
I'm about to pull the trigger on doing something to generate some cash be it a reverse mortgage or selling my body on a street corner! Sick of my car being on the back burner for years due to 'family issues' and now that 'she' is gone, it's past time to get on the stick with it (no pun...
You can now go 10.0 without a roll cage so long as all the factory air bags etc are still hooked up. Throw on a helmet and go. Not sure about a fire retardant jacket etc though. This is supposed to be in an effort to get street racing to the track. Also, not sure if this is old news or not.
I know there's a lot of people with cars that have smaller engines and even a 318 in a lighter car is capable of going 13's.....from experience I know they can and usually do it without breaking the bank. Would anyone like to see a sticky thread on this?
I've raced both with and without but I saved a pair of old Firestones from the early 80's mainly to use for trial fit when building something up and kept the tubes in them semi inflated. They are 12.2/13.25x15's and they've been in storage for many years and it was surprising to see the tubes...
Most of the 'big' stuff is done so here's an example of the little things I work on. This was probably done 35 years ago but I got the aftermarket piece for free recently and wanted to show the weight differences in modified stock stuff vs aftermarket. I modified the stock piece while at work...
Milodon's site says this pan will fit later model B's (66 and newer to a point) but the Summit site says differently unless you dig deeper then they seem to contradict themselves. Anyone have 1st hand experience with this pan on 66 and newer cars?

I recognized the car but don't know who owned it. HMP is a neat track if you like 1/8 mile racing (I don't) but it has a real short shut off and it goes straight out onto a main road so it has to have a solid barrier as a last line...
