I developed an oil leak a few weeks ago on my Charger (499 cu in., .620 lift flat tappet cam, 906 heads) and it turned out the valley pan gasket had cracked. It had seen a lot of passes so I just replaced it. The new one cracked in one race (10 passes). Seems like one of the valves on my headers...
Has anyone used or heard anything (good or bad) about the Purple Shaft grind cams that Mancini lists? Interested in a .590 flat tappet or equivalent to duplicate past performance out of a 440 with iron heads. Just saw them on their website.

Looking for anyone with experience on this:
I've been running a mild 499 stroker (racing only) for years with open headers and the crankcase vents run to the collectors for vacuum. If I put mufflers on these headers how much will that mess up my crankcase vacuum?

Just purchased a new enclosed trailer for my Dodge and it doesn't have an escape door, so I have to install a winch. I've looked at several winches that would do the job and a couple have nylon cable instead of steel.
