68 Coronet. My rear-view keeps moving as I drive, and this point here is the culprit. Does that ball-type piece screw into the stem? I haven't had a free moment to take it off (busy with firewood, and Christmas stuff), but I'm assuming it's a screw-in joint. Any insight?
I have what I believe to be '72 Charger front bucket seats... and they need recovered. I'd like to go with new seat covers for a '70 Charger. So, my question:
Are the seat FRAMES the same between 1970 and 1974? I know the padding and designs are different, but are the frames the same...
I'm ready to install the cat whiskers on the doors of the Coronet. The glass is still in.

Are there any good threads or videos on pulling the wheel? I've never had to do it before, so I want to go in with a little knowledge about it. It appears I need to rent a puller from the local parts store. Thanks in advance.
I'm getting ready to recover a pair of front bucket seats I picked up at a swap meet....seats from a 72 or 73 Charger......
But, after looking at Legendary's catalog, I like the covers for the 71 Challenger better than the current pattern.....
My question is: Are the seat FRAMES the same...
I need a little help. I'm getting conflicting answers from various headliner manufacturers. Does the 68 Coronet get sail panels, or does the headliner go all the way to the package tray. If it matters, mine is a 500. Hard to believe retailers cant agree on this.:BangHead: Thanks for the help.
Does anyone know how to get this pad off... (it's the front pad of a '68 Coronet). I removed the screws holding the panel on for the light switch, wiper switch and speaker fade knob, but apparently there's something else holding the pad on.
I have applied my home-made lizard skin to (among other places) the ceiling of the car. Now I'm wondering if I should leave it as is, and put the headliner in... or do I need another insulation of some sort - Kilmat, original type padding, etc. Whatever I put up there, I don't want it to sag...
I recently posted a WTB ad for the rear window interior trim for a 68 Coronet. Well, a question just popped into my head: Would that molding be the same for a 2-door and a 4-door? It would seem to me they would be interchangeable. Any thoughts?
I just picked up my back seat from the upholstery shop. I was thinking of tackling the project myself, but I couldn't resist the price ($240), and the guy's reputation. Now, seeing his work, I'm glad I farmed it out.
I got the skins from Year One. The Upholstery guy said he had to re-seam in...
I realize the topic of heat and sound insulation has been beaten half to death... so here's the other half:
This company out of Florida makes thermal and sound-deadening paint. I've gotten some good advice from a lot of the threads on this topic, but can't seem to find anyone who's used this...
Ok, so in the process of changing the seats in my 68 Coronet to 71 Charger seats, I quickly realized the holes in the floor would not accommodate the 71 seats. As I was chucking up a drill to punch some new holes, I looked underneath and spotted (through the gunk and under-coating) what looked...
I've started gathering interior parts for the Coronet (taking advantage of some good discounts at Year One). However, I'm having a hard time finding REAR seat foam. Everybody and their monkey has front seat foams, but no rears. Does anyone make them, or do I have to buy a hunk of foam and cut...
