Installing the new control arm with balljoint allready attached. It seams like the balljoint stud isn't seating as far as it should in the steering knuckle. I've had it apart and together 3 times. It is torqued properly. I haven't greased it yet. Does this look right? Thanks
I'm unsure of the exact name of this tape. It is plastic and not the regular electrical tape. I would like to get some of it. There are areas on my 72 Coronet that use this type of tape. Such as various electrical mouting clips. Windshield washer hose and the plastic cover on lower part of...
My dashlights don't work. I keep using fuzes When I turn the headlight switch all the way down there is no power to the fuze that controls the dashlights. When I turn the switch up to brighten the dashlights the fuze blows. Does this mean that the switch is bad and is grounding internally...
Got it back together and got a few issues. First is the power steering. I started to bleed the pump and box and it was real hard turing to the right and loose to the left. I rerouted the pressure line the way the service manual said and it got a little better. But it's still stiffer going...
These are the areas I have to repair on the heater core half of the box. Has anyone repaired these areas with fiberglass How did it hold up Thanks in advance
Where can I get a flat paint to touchup some of the scratches that is on the metal part of dash. I don't need to paint the whole thing. Just touchup a couple of areas. Color is dark green. Thanks in advance
Alot of the K frames I see on here have bushings. On my 72 Coronet the K frame bolts straight to the frame no bushing. Just courious as to what years/cars had them and what didn't. Thanks
In my service manual it says that ride height is 1-5/8 inches. Is that measurement the difference between the A and B measurement? Or from the lowest part of control arm to ground. Thanks.
Hard to tell in the pictures but the shades are off. Can the color of primer do this. I used white primer on driver side and grey primer on pass side. Same GY4 paint just different dates on cans. Thanks
I was looking at the rearend on my 72 Coronet and with the rear wheels off the ground the rear wheels spin.
The vehicle is in park and the driveshaft doesn't turn. Vehicle doesn't move on the ground. Usually in a vehicle you can't spin the rear wheels even off the ground when in park. Is...
The lower rear part of fender on passenger side is rusted out on my 1972 Coronet. Haven't been able to find any company that makes the lower patch panel. Used fenders are in worse shape than mine. So here's my question. Looking at the 1971 1972 Dodge Charger lower part of the rear fender...
This may be a silly question but here goes. My 72 Coronet was built in Nov 71. The majority of the parts I see on car are 1972. All of the marker lights. Most of the original taillight lenses. Even a NOS tail reverse light lens that I bought. I cannot find anywhere date coded 1971 items...
The book says tighten nut on pivot arm with weight on vehicle. If I put the shock and torsion bar in and jack up the control arm. To put the weight on it will that work? Because the car suspension will not be entirely assembled. The right side is partially taken apart. Thanks
Can I burn the rubber out of the old bushing and remove the lower control arm shaft. I don't have a press and beating it ain't working. There seems to be plastic on the inside of the hex part of the shaft. I've never had this type of lower control arm apart before.
I sent an email to Year One enquiring about their inner fender wells for 1972 b Bodies. I received a response that stated the B body and E body inner fender wells are the same. Are they serious or full of crap. Reason I sent an email was when I clicked on the B Body inner fender wells they...
How the HE_:angryfire:_do you get that lower balljoint assembly out from the lower control arm. Stripped threads in my puller. Pickle forks useless. Looking at Mancini Racing they have a lower ball joint removal tool. Has anyone tried it?
I was reading an article about b body cars. It stated that the last 30 days of production in 1971. The Chargers received only black seatbelts. Was wondering if that carried into model year 1972 for all B Body cars. My Coronet was manufactured Nov 71. The look black seatbelts look hedious...
I've replaced the original trans pan on my 72 Coronet with one from Mopar Performance. No matter what I do it leaks around seal. 6 time I've had it apart. Rubber gasket, cork gasket, siliconed gasket to pan and trans. and another cork gasket. Still leaks. Any ideas :(
Does the whole heater assembly have to come out on my 72 Coronet. I've got to change the heater motor. Just that it looks like the back of it sticks through firewall with nuts holding it . Can it come out through the engine compartment.
