Does anyone know if the manual steering box will slide out through the bottom if the lca is removed? Looks like there might be just enough room. Anyone try this?
I am finally ready to assemble my front end and have the pitman arm/idler arm and center link in. I noticed two things.
1- Old tie rods- The driver side is much shorter (2 threads on each joint)
than the passenger side (11 threads each joint)
2- 5.5 turns of the steering wheel lock...
Coolant issue:

I am dropping in the 383 4 speed in as one unit, already bolted together. I am using a 1-ton lift and an engine leveler. Any advice or suggestions? there will be three of us-hopefully thats enough.
Can a 750cfm vacuum secondary carb be used on my 383-4 speed? The car has a mopar performance purple camshaft and 323 gears. It will be street driven.Or will i need to look into mechanical secondary?
