I want to put a Tuff Wheel on my 1972 Satellite.
I found a can for the steering wheel that says it's for a 1970 Cuda (E-Body) Will this work on a 72 Plymouth?
Matter of fact all of the ones on E-bay say E-body.
Or can someone direct me to the correct one? Thanks!
Thanks!
I have a 1972 b-body.my rear bumper isn't in bad shape but should get re-chromed, and new tail lights.
However, I'm unsure of the price to rechrome a bumper, and new tail lights are about $600.00.
Or AMD makes 1971 B-Body rear bumpers (not 1972). I could just go with the 1971 new bumper...
Just wondering if anyone has done a study on this? I have 15x8 Stock(ish) steelie rallye rims at the rear now (center caps and trim rings and 275/60/15 Tires), but spin pretty easily, thinking about getting 15x10 rims with larger tires for better traction, however would that extra weight slow...
I have converted my Auto on the floor to a 5 speed, I have added a new Autometer dash cluster and other odds and ends. Is it good to save these old stock parts, or to sell them, and try to recoup some of the money from the new parts? Maybe keeping the old parts might be useful if I ever sold the...
There is no snow on the ground, but I have seen areas where they have salted the roads in case of ice. I need to take my b-body to the shop for an upgrade on the car.
They did say they can trailer it, it's not a big deal... (for a cost) However a friend of mine thinks I'm being too picky, and I...
This is an idea I have been messing with, swapping, my auto for a 5-speed Tremec.
This is a nothing matches 1972 Roadrunner Clone SSP.
I'm doing this purely out of enjoyment, but wondering if maybe it would increase the value or not really?
It's a drivers car, with new paint. Probably worth...
My springs seem to be weak (look at previous thread) but I'm at about 25 1/2 inches which I think seems about right?? I need to know for sure though before I buy new springs.
Need stock height with good springs please.
I have a 8 1/4 rear end with Highway Gear from a 1972 Satellite. 2.83 or something like that.
I have it for sale at $100.00 doesn't seem like anyone wants it. I thought it would have some value??
Thanks!
I just installed a fuel regulator for 6psi. (Eldebrock AVS 800) I thought it would improve the car stalling on me since it was at 7psi (recommended no higher than 6.5psi) It still stalls. Should I then reset the air/fuel mixture or does that stay the same?
I'm finally ready to start my engie with the new cam. I put new heads on as well. So I went to prime the engine (counter clockwise) with a powerful drill, and no oil!
Not sure what I did or am doing wrong? The drill slows down, you can hear gurgling but no oil up to the heads.
1973- 400...
I have found at least 3. Not knowing any better, I just bought an aluminum one where the inlet is on the opposite side. I'm trying to make this one work (it's pretty), which I think I can. However, I don't know what alternator bracket to use? I have removed the air conditioning as well (just to...
I bought the Summit Starter for my 400 and when I tighten it down it sits on an angle. I think the starter is hitting the block as I tighten it the back of the starter pulls away from the block so it isn't sitting flat.
Any ideas how to resolve this issue?
So I decided to do the timing in the 1972 400, but I don't see a mark on the harmonic balancer. I do however see a notch. Is that notch supposed to be the mark?
Thanks!
How accurate are the stock gauges?
I have a 72 Satellite that has rally gauges which is super cool, if I trust them? Oil pressure seems low, and coolant temp never moves more than 1/8 of an inch (maybe that's a good thing) but these gauges are 50 years old.
Is there after market gauges...
My 72 came stock with air conditioning, the compressor spins freely but no cold air. Could be something simple, but I haven't looked at it that closely.
Someone mentioned to me it works greatly reduce the value of the car, but it's not stock anyway.
Thoughts?
