I am trying to avoid respraying the whole car. I have fender that is off white to the rest of the vehicle. Does anyone know of a paint shop they would recommend that i can ship my gas tank lid to so they can match the color? If they could ship me a quart of the paint? Thank you.
I know approximately 6 million threads have been created on the topic, however, I would like some fresh input. I got a 440 that has a pretty solid engine oil leak coming from the bell housing dust cover. (Yes I’ve checked valve covers and oil sending unit). I’ve also read on the previous threads...
Mild 440
Going to ask this again because I’ve done a lot of suggestions from you great folks, but still have the same issue. I’m getting around 10” of vacuum at idle on both vacuum ports. (Ported and manifold) and I CANNOT figure out why. My engine rpm is ~800 and can’t go any lower. I’ve tried...
Greetings- I have a mild 440 in a 66 charger. It has a edelbrock 1407 750 CFM carb. When the vacuum advance is attached, the motor stumbles and misses at idle. When I disconnect the VA, it runs MUCH smoother. So I bought a vacuum gauge. I get 25” from the pink pink port and 30” from the blue...
Greetings all, this is a mild 440 with summit racing headers, 750 CFM 1407 carb, and points distributor. Compression in all cylinders is 120-130 psi. Oil pressure is great. Adjusted timing with no change. I’m horribly terrified that this is lower end knock. I only hear it at the exhaust...
My car misses and backfires when I tighten down the distributor adjustment bolt. When I loosen the bolt the engine runs perfect. It’s a 440 big block with stock ignition system. The distributor clamp seems to pull the distributor instead of evenly press down. What would cause this?
Greeting all,
what would cause the PS fluid to boil 5 minutes after initial start up? Here is what I have. 66 charger with a 440 with a Saginaw pump connected to the original PS box . Could the 440 pump be pushing too much PSI for the stock gear box? Is it just a matter of running some PS...
Greetings all- new Mopar owner here.
I just bought a 67 charger with a 440 big block that the guy sold because of health reasons. I think the 440 is of the motor home flavor from the late 70’s. Any who, I just put some summit racing headers on and fired it up for the first time. After idling...
