Need a little help decoding fender tag on 69 Satellite

I’ve tried my usual decoding sites and both came back saying that because of the plant it was made at their tool doesn’t work. Any help is appreciated! I did decode the VIN but if it helps I’ll provide that too Hoping to see if the broadcast sheet is behind the rear seat tomorrow VIN...

Does anyone remember what the reliability of the big and small block mopar engines were when they first came out?

I have been looking at new cars lately and trying to compare engines which made me start thinking how this process went for mopars back in the day. For instance did the 383 have less issues than a 318? Was the 440 more reliable than the 340/360. Same thing with transmissions? I’d imagine the...

I have to park one of my mopars on gravel next to my driveway this winter. Any suggestions on what I could do to help it not rot out the frame?

So I have too many cars at the moment. Projects that I keep starting unfortunately. The paved driveway and garage are full. But I have an equally large patch of gravel that I use for temporary parking. I know moisture coming up from dirt, grass and gravel really take a toll on the bottom of of...

Looking at a 1969 Dodge Coronet Super Bee clone this weekend and having some trouble decoding the fender tag

I believe it was an originally a 318 engine with an A904 3spd trans but that’s all I’ve figured out so far. Not quite sure what all the numbers mean at the top of the fender tag. My 73 Duster snd 74 RR tags look nothing like this one with the cluster of numbers at the top. The regular decoders I...

Are these 340 (I think) heads and intake worth trying to sell or just scrap?

When I bought my 74’ RR the owner gave me a set of heads and intake he wanted to use on its pro gal 318. I’m not going to do it so I was thinking of trying to sell or just scrap the items. Not sure what you all thought? Don’t even know if they are actually off a 340. He also kept the original...

Trying to understand the different options on 74 RR (steering wheel, dash, seats etc…). Saw a couple different setups and wondered what was accurate.

So I saw a fully restored 1974 GTX and a few things stood out to me. It seemed to have a satellite steering wheel and the dash only went to 120mph. I thought it would have the dash that goes to 150mph. Could you basically just customize the vehicle to your liking when ordering them? Browsing...

Any logical reason for the previous owner to have added a bolt to the bottom of the gas tank?

I noticed it awhile back and just now got around to taking a picture of it. I can’t imagine a scenario in which I’d add a bolt to the bottom of my gas tank but here it is…any idea why they did this? In what safety world would it be ok to drill into a gas tank? You’d hope it was empty when they...

Applying new decals to the outside of my 74’ RR. Repo stickers recommend cleaning with Naptha but no stores near me have it. Any alternatives to use?

Naptha (a cleaner I never heard of) is recommended to clean the surface in order remove any wax before applying the decal with a mixture of water and dish soap. Instructions state to clean it a whopping 10 times too. Hoping I don’t need to spend $40 on Amazon for it…the car also has a very...

Have an opportunity to buy a 1974 Roadrunner but engine has issues and there is a hole in frame. $2500 fair price?

So I just got introduced to the B body forum because I bought a 74 dart. Well I had to sell one car to add a car and the car I sold the guy wants to do a partial trade for his 74 RR numbers matching. It would be for a value of $2500. Engine has an issue with oil pressure so he’s having trouble...
