Was running fine, pulled into garage, it began to run rough and suddenly dies and will not restart..(it is over 110 degrees today).
I let it sit for an hour, tried to restart...nothing, does not even try to fire just cranks over.
Plenty of good gas
Battery is new
New coil
New correct spark plugs...
Just removed my 383 intake manifold, both sides of the valley pan and the intake manifold are just covered in some kind of permatex like material, some is gray some is black, the black stuff is like those rubber boogers, the gray stuff comes off fairly easily but flakes a lot.......I have...
I have a chance to buy a Mopar that comes with lots of extra parts. Wondering what sort of value to the following:
1- 273 motor out of a 66 Plymouth.....runs
2- 904 transmissions, good condition\
2- 727 transmissions, also good
9" torque converter from a 440
1967 hood and front fenders
2-...
Is it worth buying a 78 motor home with a 440, runs good, under 60k miles on M/H. Not interested in the M/H, jsut the motor......seller is asking $500.
I know there is no such thing, but what would be the closest? I had to remove one side and now it leaks bad, they look like those cheap cork jobs.....also, I probably tightened too much or maybe not enough.
Still working on installing the hedman headers onto my 69 383 motor. Got the pax side in (after removing steering center link), figured driver side would be a piece of cake.....it would have been if the starter was not in the way. My options are to beat #1 pipe down to about half its diameter...
I have a set of Competition Engineering front shocks that look like they have been on the car for quite a while, took them off, they seem pretty stiff asthey should be with no weird movements, these are the 90/10 80/20 etc...adjustables.
Just wondering if there are any special tests to...
That is my dilemma, I am thinking of selling or trading my 65 Dodge Coronet ex race car for a streetable Mopar, wife says "let's street this one".
Just wondering about the cost of doing this.
Will need the following:
New hood
Windshield wipers and motor
Turn signals and brake lights hooked up...
This came out of my 450HP 1969 440 motor which was bored .060 and Crane roller rockers. I was unable to get any specs from previous owner. Any way to I.D. the grind/lift/brand? Also.......would it work in my stock 69 383 block?
I have an opportunity to pick up an all steel 32 Plymouth 3 window coupe that currently has a chevy 350/powerglide in it and am wondering how much trouble it would be to put in a 383/727.
The car is finished and runs fine, I just can't see having GM power in a Mopar!.:icon_rolleyes:
Takes 5 or more starts to even begin idling without me goossing the throttle...
440, roller motor, Holley 750 no choke, 2 speed Holley blue pump, 9.5 compression. Have not put the timing light on it.
Is it the carb tuning, electric fuel pump or timing?
Just bought the car, need help identifying the Holley double pumper: serial# 6R3752B.
Only has 2 adjusting screws on the front and none on the secondaries, it was/is a race car. When full throttle is applied it sprays in all four throats.
Just installed a set of Competition Engineering drag shocks on the front, adjusted to 90/10 as were the previous other brand shocks.
When I let the jack down, both front wheels appear to be turned slightly inward at the front (they weren't before)???? Any thoughts on this?
My 65 Coronet race car has an 8 qt Mopar Performance oil pan that keeps on leaking, one drop at a time…..I have replaced 2 drain plugs and gaskets so far…..still drips!!!
Could it be the oil pan maybe a small crack at the drain plug or maybe it is bent?:BangHead::BangHead:
Trying to figure out where the center of gravity would be on my 65 Dodge, reason is I have an opportunity to get a great deal on a new 16 foot BigTex flatbed trailer for it and wondering if it would hang over too far in the rear.
Just trying to figure out why I should use one over the other....The guy I bought the car from always used 5w30 synthetic.
Would it do any damage to the motor if the next oil change I switch to regular oil?
Hello all,
I just bought a 63 Polara with a 69 RB 426.
The block casting# is 2658836, which according to the info I have is the 426 "industrial" model.
What I would like to know is how this particular version differs from other 426 castings ???
