hey everybody I am getting ruby ready to go back together. She's a 66 coronet 500.
On the top of the doors there is a piece of chrome trim that has those teeny little spring clips that look like an x. Anybody know where I can find them?
So I finally got Ruby painted. She came out of the factory red and a white vinyl top. So we stayed close the original red and will eventually put a new white vinyl top on. I'll start reassembly soon as i get the new horse fence done.
I pulled a previous patch off the RR fender and saw this. Some things never change. I had to chuckle

On Ruby, the 66 Coronet we are restoring the front frame rails are rotted out by the bolt hole in the side, not the bumper bolt hole but the other one which i do not know what its for. i have seen this hole and before and never anything bolted to it.

I'm going to replace the torsion bar crossmember on the 66 coronet. Classic industries lists two one is the "restorers choice " the other is the standard. The difference is 120 bucks. Has anyone used either one of these? Is the higher price one worth the extra money?
